Love is restraint. I heard a Pastor say this once and he used the restraint Jesus showed on the cross as an example. Jesus could have came down from the cross had he wanted too. But Love had him remain there. Parents when disciplining their child with Love show restraint. OK, I just finished watching that unfortunate video, and it’s clear to me that the young woman is mentally ill (she was very confrontational and she accused a complete stranger of raping her), and she could have seriously injured someone or worse. I’m so sorry that one of her elders was the recipient of her abusive tirade, but I’m thankful she was not physically hurt.

I know from personal experience that you will encounter all sorts of folks on public transportation. I recall that one night while a friend and I were riding the Metro, we heard a woman loudly talking and when we looked at her, she was holding a mirror in front of her face and seemed like she was in the throes of a conversation with herself. There were plenty of witnesses, but you could have heard a pin drop. I think people were genuinely scared to say or do anything.

From her irrational behavior, you can’t tell if she knew the boy or not, but she clearly was confronting whomever she thought wronged her, and, to me, that’s a sign of illness, such as paranoia.

In one of my earlier post I said that my first instinct would have been to slap her or grab and shake this sh%t out of her (I won’t hit any woman), but my opinion (and I respect yours) is that it wouldn’t have helped anything and could have potentially ended up a lot worse. Knives, guns (I live in a concealed carry gun state and carry a gun. She pulls a knife or gun – I have a gun. Bad situation no one wins), etc… So Option A of doing nothing violent sounds like the best option to me.

I am really shocked that know one seems to have any compassion for this lost soul. Don’t worry about Grandma, because Grandma gon’ be alright. That elderly woman was probably pleading the blood over that child and the ‘spirit’ that was in control of her mind and flesh. We need to pray for this woman, but instead people are talking about going upside her head, stomping that a**, beating the sh*t outta her….what have we come to? So many of the comments on this board are a true reflection of the fact that many are just as lost as that woman was on the train.There was a time when people of color had mercy towards one another, helped their neighbor, prayed with and/or for those who were sick in mind and body. This was something that was passed down from our indigenous roots as African Americans, American Indians and West Indians…our love,and spiritual connection was what seperated us from ‘them’. If someone needed prayer, if someone needed help, WE would never kick them while they were down. Today we live in a fallen world, with fallen people who are sick in mind and body…mentally and emotionally. Because this world has abandoned the ways of God and in my opinion, Christ…we are seeing the product of a spiritual breakdown. And I believe that ol’ lady was probably praying for her…I will even go as so far to say, the demonic spirit in this young lady was probably taunting and attempting to defile the ‘pureness’ of spirit in this elderly lady. That is how the enemy works. It just so happens that the young lady was extremely sick and in complete possession of the enemy and that spirit chose to attack that elderly lady for whatever reason. But that just means that ol’ lady is doing something right, she was a threat in spirit and in Christ. So praise God. Lastly we must pray that the younger generation comes to understand that spiritual warfare is pivotal to these crazy times we are living in. That they will be able to equip themselves with faith, wisdom and strength to overcome the darkness of this world. You will find that ‘darkness’ hidden in music, media, people and things. Be mindful of what listen to and what you watch, because subconcsiously you are taking in a constant stream of negativity. You are feeding yourself garbage and starving your spirit of the positive energy it need to grow. Let’s pray for this young lady, that God will restore her in spirit, body and mind…that she will be clothed in her right mind. Peace and God Bless.

OK. On topic– I really can understand people’s opinions when they feel that she needs help but at what point do we say that some things shouldn’t be tolerated and let the punishement fit the crime? The old woman could’ve seriously been traumatized by the incident. It’s enough they have to worry about making ends meet, eating, getting their medication, visit to the doctor’s, even riding public transportation (things like this fester and grow on public transportation). I just think it would’ve went a looong way if someone would’ve put their foot in her azz! She would’ve remembered that at least for the next time ’cause trust, she got away with it this time so there WILL be a next time. I hope it doesn’t progressively get worse.

Well, that’s how I know that girl was mentally ill — the woman wasn’t confronting her or anything, and she became steadily more belligerent. If I had witnessed this, I would have tried to divert the girl’s attention while looking for help. I know on the Metro trains here, I think there is a security button, or other apparatus you can press for help. Now if she started physcially assaulting the woman, then I would have tried to restrain her, and hopefully, someone would have assisted me because I’m no fighter by any means. So, by no means, would I have sat idly by — I’m very protective of my elders, girl.

1) They have done this before and keep getting away with it.
