When a man or woman decides to become an officer, he is signing up to deal with these types of situations. High speed chase, derelicts, disorderly citizens, and danger are all part of the territory. If you are not prepared to deal with these things in the right way you should not sign up to be an officer of the law.

There is no way anyone could convince me that the behavior shown in the videos is right for any reason. Once you detain a suspect, turn him over and allow the court system to deal with the individual. You aren’t supposed to beat him down like a dog in the street.

Officers make up all types of stories and send it out to their officials and the media to make their actions justifiable. Giving them passes or accepting their excuses provides for a corrupt system. A system in which any citizen should be cautious of every little gesture, movement, or comment they make because it might upset an officer. That is ridiculous.

The officers in the Sean Bell case said that they thought him and the individuals involved had a gun. If it were up to some of you bloggers, then I guess it was okay for the officers to then take out their guns and start firing especially since the officers were in danger of being shot at and hit by the suspect’s vehicle.

My point is that the officers should not be allowed to get away with taking justice into their own hands. Just the way we aren’t allowed to, neither should they. They’re jobs are stressful, they are under paid in some states, and have a lot to deal with on a daily basis. Perhaps the police commissioners should work more on evaluating these officers stress levels, as well as providing them with outlets to relieve some of the stress. But beating up people is not the way.

And to the people just complaining about the neighborhoods; why don’t you do something to create a change. Why not try and start a non-profit youth center? Little things like that could create a huge change. Especially with a few youths who don’t have anyone to show them the right way or feel that no one cares about them. There are children out there who have no guidance, who do not have parents who care about their grades, or anything else for that matter. Those kids are the same one’s who look to the streets for role models and become some of your disgusting criminals. I plan on doing starting a youth center in a community to that is plagued with drugs and violence. I’ve always lived in beautiful safe, quiet communities; but still and all issues like that are very important. What are you doing to make a change?

It’s not all cops, but the ones that are bias, violent & evil. Everyone of those cops need to be fired. They are kicking those guys while they are on the ground. That’s a shame. I have never seen them kick down a serial killer or a child molester or child murderer, that’s who they need to kick down.

We have a court system that was created to put people like this in jail though it’s not keen to putting cops who kill innocent people in jail. Either way the cops had the men on the ground and handcuffed so what was all of the kicking and beating with clubs for when the men were already disarmed and cuffed? Can we go a handcuff all the officers who kill innocent people and kick them and beat them with clubs cause they are murderers too if that’s the case.
