Instead of blaming it on black men, I blame it on the parents or parent. These girls aren’t being taught to respect themselves or the bodies.

Further it has become “cute” and acceptable in a large part of the black community to celebrate being a babymama and baby daddy. I see it everyday and sadly its a vicious cycle, they will probably end up having 3 or more kids before they turn 20. I have a daughter and its the responsibility of both me and her father to teach and train her to respect herself and take the proper precautions to protect herself. Schools and mainly teachers should make the kids sign a responsiblity contract,at the beginning of the school year, with a list of behaviour, that will not be tolerated. Each student would be responsible for holding themselves to the agreement and expelled, if they don’t comply. If you make it more businesslike, they will work within thoe guidelines, of course, you will always have some kids that don’t come to school to learn, but to cause trouble. It would be so easy to weed out those kids and at least the ones remaining would get a good education…

i blame the parents! we have two in college but when they were in high school i searched book bags every night and when i did find notes or something inappropriate we had a family meeting and discussed. we talked about everything and where involved in all of their school activities as well as after school sports. when you become a parent you have to put you own life aside to a certain extent if you want to instill values and brake generational curses so that your children won’t go through the same things we went through. any parent should want more for their children and it doesn’t appear that these parents took the time to instill values into the young girls nor the boys.

someone said it was the rap music, howbeit the music is today has some ruff words but it’s up to the parents to censor what the kids listen to especially in your own house. I come home from work one day and my son was listen to music with a lot of curse words and saying degrading things about women. i went and got a trashbag and put every cd in the house and in their cars in the trash and told both of them if you choose to listen to that type of music you won’t do it in my house! where is the control of the parents.

I can’t help but see a tie between the death of Derrion Albert and of Jasper Howard in Connecticut. I wonder if Mr. Howard’s fate would have been different had he been raised in different circumstances. It’s just so maddening that he was the first in his family to go to college hundreds of miles away from his troubled neighborhood, only to be stabbed to death on a college campus. Now another black man (someone named “Johnny Hood” who was at the scene of the fatal fight and told police he was looking for his “gold teeth” on the ground — no, I’m not making this up) is in custody on unrelated charges, but I would not be a bit surprised if the murderer winds up being being someone of the same complexion. It’s a tragic, recurrent pattern.

EVERYONE in the public eye needs to be mindful of their behavior, not just minorities. Remember the term, “Sex, drugs, rock and roll?” Those things you’ve mentioned have been glorified in our society for decades. White folks are not exempt from wrongful behavior.

Those girls have just compromised the quality of their lives and their youth for A LONG TIME if not permanently. When I was growing up, my mother never wanted me to hang around girls who had babies. I never understood why. NOW, I DO. My kids will NOT be going to school with, socializing, or ANYTHING ELSE with girls/boys in this situation. I don’t want their influence “crossing over” to my line.

These chicks get baby showers gifts and lots of attention sometimes its the most attention they have received all their lives. then when the baby comes there is more attention (at least for a while, “oooh yo baby so kay-ute!!!.

These rats thrive on that an if they see one gire getting that attention then they want that for themselves.

Solution? Bring back a sense of shame to out of wedlock births, No baby showers, no making a bill deal out these hoodrats. No you can’t go the prom, No you can’t go out saturay night you got a baby
