After recent backlash about  Barack Obama’s recent Nobel Peace Prize honor, artist Bono decided to give his two cents on how foolish people sound.

Bono says that the President’s words speak for himself when it comes to change for this country and what he’s done to implement positivity among people around the nation but because of mainstream media, we don’t hear them:

Well, I happen to be European, and I can project with the best of them. So here’s why I think the virtual Obama is the real Obama, and why I think the man might deserve the hype. It starts with a quotation from a speech he gave at the United Nations last month:

“We will support the Millennium Development Goals, and approach next year’s summit with a global plan to make them a reality. And we will set our sights on the eradication of extreme poverty in our time.”

They’re not my words, they’re your president’s. If they’re not familiar, it’s because they didn’t make many headlines. But for me, these 36 words are why I believe Mr. Obama could well be a force for peace and prosperity — if the words signal action.

Very interesting perspective that many people overlook. Thoughts?

BARACK DIDN’T DESERVE TO WIN IT, BUT HE DID, SO I CAN’T HATE ON HIM, EVEN THOUGH HE IS DOING A HORRIBLE JOB WITH OUR COUNTRY!

  • drenk

i cant trust a guy who had a mullet well into the 1990′s

  • Truth Live

Sorry. No change of heart here, they may have jumped the gun on giving him this prize…if they wouldve waited until after Healthcare Reform passed I would be with it, if they wouldve waited until we got some real progress in regards to Iran’s nuclear programs, if they wouldve waited until………..Ah hell I can go on and on. I’m happy he got it but I can’t defend him as good as I’d like to when I see him gettin dogged on TV or in social settings.

I love you Bono. But Obama did receive this award prematurely… but he is still amazing

  • SMH & WTF

What does Healthcare reform have to do with the Nobel Peace prize? Lord have mercy..black folks please get educated on what the Nobel Peace Prize stands for..its not a lifetime achievement award. People who are talking about it probably didn’t even know who the previous winners were without googling it. SMDH!!

  • Gymo

What Bono doesn’t realize, it that America is filled with too many illiterates.

The Nobel Prize was created to advocate peace and scientific excellence. Obama is doing what many prize winners have tried to do create peace, so what is premature about that? It’s the attempt that has been historically rewarded, you folks seriously need to get an education. “A mind is a terrible thing to waste”.

Gymo– you hit the nail on the head. I couldnt have said it better myself!!

you people who think that this man didn’t deserve this are out your freak’n mind. the whole globe paided attn; to the election. the man who stepped into office w/ a peace agenda. unlike bush who came for war. blessed sre the peace makers; this is why he is prez because he ignores all you haters. who also laughed and mocked hom for not getting the olimpic bid. then turn around and hate cause he is bring the nobel peace prize to the windy city. hate on haters while barack leave you pathetic haters in the dust

  • Mahogany

    Is that picture recent

  • uhh yeah ok.

I agree. I think he’s better for world politics.. the agenda that is..

  • Truth Live

poor babies, the Nobel Peace prize is based off of ACTION not words and intent

  • memchee

    stop playin’

15-20 years from now, Obama and every other intellectual will readily note how underserving of the award his was at the time.

too many people and organizations want to have a notable part in this man’s legacy; they are beginning to undermine his legacy by rewarding his potential before allowing him to achieve it at his own pace.

Totally unfair to Obama and n.e. more deserving peace prize candidates who were overlooked in the process.

he’s just a puppet, he reads what is written for him, by the one’s behind the scenes that really run the show, from a teleprompter. he has the job, because he is the most likeable. will you see change? you will not. you will see more war, the crushing of the middle class, so that the nwo and real life marxism can come into play. he is a part of the plan, with no solutions. the rich get richer, the dumb get more gullible.

  • resurrected

At end of the day it really does not matter because they have chosen to give it to him and it will be written down in history and no one else has enough nerve to do something better then to flap there gums because we are so good at doing that right there… I really see nothing wrong with it at the moment..

  • what that?

    that’s right,bono!!!

  • FGTFJT

yea that will make a nice headline ” Nobel Peace Prize winner send’s 13,000 troops to War”.
