I met MJ at a school function where I was presenting a research paper in NC. I was talking with a few of my other classmates in a small room and our professor walks in and tells us he has a surprise for us. MJ walks in and we all just looked at him. We considered ourselves professional and greeted him as if he was another scholar but this man walks in, looks at us and says “hold up let me try this again”, walks out the room and comes back in like we were supposed to fall all over ourselves. After that I lost all respect for him. I could see if I was at sporting event but damn I was doing a presentation about reinvesting in the black community
