Three teenage girls were shot in a ‘drive by’yesterday afternoon in Georgia:

Three teenage girls were rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being shot in a drive-by in Clayton County. The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Plover Road in an unincorporated section of Clayton County near Jonesboro, said County Police spokesman Officer Kevin Hughes. Four teenage girls were standing on the side of the road talking to a group of boys when a car pulled up, Hughes said. Several men were inside the car. As the car slowly drove by, one of the men opened fire. They gunman fired at least 11 shots before the car sped off, Hughes said. Three of the girls were struck. Paramedics rushed the girls to Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale. Police described their injuries as non-life-threatening. The victims’names and conditions were not immediately available. The girls were between 14 and 16 years old, police said.

This makes no sense, but at least the young ladies are alive.

We don’t love ourselves and as a result we don’t love our OWN, plain & simple…

    There’s no regard for anyone’s life…
No decency, no respect for absolutely no one…

That’s why you have to be careful of the things and people that you let in your life because if it’s the wrong thing it could lead to your downfall, demise or nothing but a future filled with pain & misery…

Whereas it is a fact that many children are being raised without a father, many parents have arrested development. It is the parents that act like children themselves. Dress like kids, drink and do drugs with their children, even allow boyfriends to “shack-up in the parents home All contributed to the decay of this society.
Long live the memory of MRS. C. Deloris Tucker!

It’s just my opinion that today’s society is much much different than my mothers and my grandmothers. Never the less I remember the saying that it takes a whole village to raise a kid. Not that is just a memory Our children to day are not being taught the real true values of life. It’s just my opinion that today’s grandmothers age start around 25 to 30 years old compared to that era in which I was raised 70′s baby. But some or all are not showing them the right way!! I’d gladly admit that to me when they took prayer out of the school ;who was left to protect those kids ? and when I was going up we didn’t use guns not saying that they wasn’t being used in my neighborhood but the violence has greatly increased since then. We fought some of our battles dancing ,Rapping or just dreaming for the best?

This is truely sad :( … Its getting worse and worse everyday, more and more violence… Im glad the girls are ok though…

I doubt the bullets were even meant for the girs, most likely they were shooting at the boys they were talking to… And most likely over something real petty…SMH

  • Aunt Viv

All of the above! I’m scared of what my kids will be born into :(

I choose the last selection for the poll but it is a combination all of the selections on the poll to why youth violence has been on the rise.

No father and in some cases no mother. The children and adults of this day keep their eyes glued to the TV screen particular BET and other various musical outlets that only condone in violence, hoes, drugs and money within their music. The ‘mafia/gangsta’mentality. Gangs and peer pressure. The recession could be a problem, but these idiots are going around killing innocent people and not making a profit like robbing a bank or a store for monetary gains.

But this should be a wake up call to all parents and even to folks that don’t have kids…understand that when you bring this child into this world it is up to you THE PARENT to take control of their lives and steer them in the right direction.

I definitely chose a lot of people don’t have good male role models but judging by the women I have seen as of late, they don’t have good female role models either. People aren’t parenting. They aren’t putting their foot in azz, they aren’t talking to these children and they are not paying them attention. So these kids grow up angry and bitter, see some older homies in a gang that “look out for them” and the cycle of crime and violence continues. It really is very sad.

I just try to love and spend time with Babygirl daily. Let her know she can come to me with anything, hug her to death, love her to death and pray to God that I can do right by this little girl and have her grow into a decent human being. I have seen the best families raise thugs. I think environment should have been one of the choices.

I have also seen good kids, being bullied and beaten up for being a “nerd” or a goodie-goodie. You can’t even attempt to ‘be good’in certain neigborhoods for fear of getting killed or something.

I think we need to stop “hating” on Reggie and Kim K and focus on bettering communities. B/c at the end of the day Reggie Bush isnt doing anything to help these kids up here.
