Three teenage girls were shot in a ‘drive by’ yesterday afternoon in Georgia:
Three teenage girls were rushed to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after being shot in a drive-by in Clayton County. The shooting occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Plover Road in an unincorporated section of Clayton County near Jonesboro, said County Police spokesman Officer Kevin Hughes. Four teenage girls were standing on the side of the road talking to a group of boys when a car pulled up, Hughes said. Several men were inside the car. As the car slowly drove by, one of the men opened fire. They gunman fired at least 11 shots before the car sped off, Hughes said. Three of the girls were struck. Paramedics rushed the girls to Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale. Police described their injuries as non-life-threatening. The victims’ names and conditions were not immediately available. The girls were between 14 and 16 years old, police said.
This makes no sense, but at least the young ladies are alive.
