It’s a crying shame how black people get disrespected – EVERYDAY, over and over. Come on – if you doing an interview with someone – you should know who you are talking too. Do you have to read the person’s name you are interviewing off a teleprompter, too? That don’t make no sense. I didn’t watch the film – it’s not worth it to me – but I’m glad you guys said Jesse kept it professional.

Yes it is true that we all make mistakes but the key is to GRACIOUSLY ACKNOWLEDGE them and move on…not to be sarcastic & catch an attitude.

Contessa ran for cover and placed all of the blame on the person who’s job it was to enter data for the Teleprompter…When in actuality….she’s just as much at fault as they are….

If Contessa were a True professional, regardless of what the Teleprompter said she would have caught an ERROR like mistaking Jesse Jackson for Al Sharpton because it would have been in her notes—- it would have been a part of her preparation for that interview —– OR she could have just cared about ‘getting it right’ instead of solely RELYING on SOMEONE ELSE to ‘make sure everything is on point.’

Please Contessa, You could have taken responsibility, graciously apologized for your error and moved on instead of the airheaded reply– “I was reading what was on the TelePrompter”.

If you’re going to be in the adult game…act like one and don’t point fingers! Take responsibility.

it didn’t sound like she had an attitude to me. she should have corrected herself but i think she froze up, like “ohhh sh*’t, maybe he’ll just ignore it!”.

that’s good for him anyway because he gets on my d*mn nerves. i think they had al scheduled, he canceled, and they forgot to update the teleprompter.

This chick used to be a local news reporter in my town. She’s a big old FREAK too accroding to a lot of dudes around town! She used to wear her freakiness like a crown with crazy highlights and streaks throughout her hair and dark makeup and wearing super tight shirts and blouses on the air. To see her now that she made it to the “big time” makes me laugh so hard because she has toned down her “look” soooooo much! You can’t make it to the big time dressing for the club after you’re done with the 10 o’clock news – and boy did she ever dre***** like she was about to go clubbin during the 10 o’clock news!!!!

I am a TV news anchor, and we have to live our lives. False gossip is spread about people in public professions everyday. So what. She made it to the big time, so obviously there was something about her that stood out from the crowd.

With that being said, she did make a MAJOR error there. Reading the teleprompter? So what. As a journalist, there is a schedule that you have to go by, and with someone as big as Jesse Jackson coming to talk on your show, there is no way he should be mistaken for anyone else. I am sure they spoke with his reps well before the taping of the show, I am sure they had his name printed on the schedule. When she came into work, did she not say, Who am I talking to today? Did they NOT tell her Jesse Jackson? What a screw up and a lack of preparation on her part and the producer’s part. I am sure somebody caught it for that one.

They are still deserving of respect, but their time had waned long before most of us could even remember their effectiveness. He’s never been “my leader”…

Poeple don’t realize that being an anchor for so long, you get *****e to just reading what is in front of you. The highschool i graduated at, I used to do the morning news/announcements, and i got so used to just reading what is in front of me, *****UMING it is correct, that I don’t realize mistakes or misinformation until someone points it out.
Of course everyone’s going to *****ume she’s an ignorant white broad now because of this LOL, and that she thinks every black person looks alike.
