Ne-Yo and Chuck Harmony Defend Rihanna’s Murder Worshipping Lyrics…

Here we go again. Yesterday we asked, should Rihanna really be held accountable for her new single because she is not the writer. Well, now the writer and the producer of the song have something to say. Check out what Ne-Yo and producer Chuck Harmony had to say…

NE-YO:
I’m listening to the track, and all I can see is Rihanna and some random person sitting across from each other at the table with a gun sitting in the middle of the table and playing Russian roulette. And I just started thinking,
‘What would go through your mind if you was in that situation?’ It just all started coming together, and Rihanna has never been one to be afraid to take a chance, especially with me. She’s always game to do something a little different. I played it for her, and she loved it — went in and knocked it out. The rest is history.”

“It’s definitely dark, but if you think about it, ‘Thriller’ was dark, but it’s one of the biggest-selling records of all time. Nobody’s really going out to play Russian roulette or thinking about killing themselves or nothing like that. It was just an interesting topic over a crazy beat, and who better to pull that off than somebody like Rihanna?”

Check out Chuck Harmony’s response… We think Tiffany hit his b*tch nerve.

Chuck Harmony:
“There are no satanic messages in the music. Maybe if we did a remake of ‘Promise Ring’ (Tiffany’s hit single), then Rihanna wouldn’t be a devil worshipper. People are so closed minded. The song is not literal. Like most provocative art, it’s symbolism. Grow up. I’m never going to defend my art…I create it and then it’s out of my hands. So reviews don’t hurt me, but Tiffany’s unrealistic take on the song really urked me because idiots breed idiots.

Bottom line, she is in the music business so she understands that the song is not indicative of the artist views, but rather, it’s the brainchild and vision of the songwriter and producer. With that being said, to use that song as a shining example of devil worship in the music business, you are saying that Ne-yo and Chuck Harmony are devil worshippers. That’s stupid!! That’s beyond stupid it’s immature. Artist should understand art. So with Tiffany Evans rant, I can safely say that the title artist should not be part of her bio.”

Chuck really seems like he has his panties in a bunch… SMH. If you don’t defend your art, then what’s the point of making this statement???

I DON’T CARE WHAT NEYO OR ANYONE ELSE HAS TO SAY, THIS SONG IS DEMONIC, AND PEOPLE WHO ARE WEAK MINDED WILL COMMIT SUICIDE AFTER HEARING IT>>>>DUMB ASSES, SHOULDN’T BE MAKING MUSIC LIKE THAT ANYWAY. THERE IS NOTHING ENTERTAINING ABOUT IT!!!

  • http://bossip.com ms.kittyk

i TOTALLY agree, she in NO WAY, shape, form, or fashion can compare w/thriller or MJ. and aint that Chuck Harmony guy an old man? and hes dissen a little girl?..WOW!!! such a REAL man! DENIED

  • D

funny him and neyo would talk all that crap…bottom line is…if you’re of a positive source..you will speak and show positivity and if you are not…well…you’ll end up speaking from the “otherside” they may be writers but they don’t seem all that bright…..how could it be cool to talk about taken a chance with your own life??? why didn’t neyo sing the dam song then?? I think we give these people way too much credit…figures they would use Rihanna as the stooge but then again she’s well aware what she’s dabblin in….

  • Tropical English

Who cares if Ne-yo wrote it, Rihanna decided to sing it so she carries the weight of the song too.

If Neyo writes a song about all women are black hoes and Usher sings it, is Usher off the hook? NOPE!!

And finally, why is this grown man going on a rant about thing young little thing? Damn, Tiffany got them ALL shook!!

  • blackbeltshopper

What a reach…”Thriller was dark”…MJ didnt walk off the set wearing that stuff..unlike Rihanna walking around w/black witchy nails and asking for “dark” music.

I cant believe he’s defending a deadly game and I strongly agree w/Tiffany. Their is life and death in the power of the tongue. It’s some weak sick people out here and some might be Rihanna fans and try the sick game like it’s fun.No she didnt invent it nor the writers but all are willing parties involved.and should take the heat for it.

    @millhouse

Could you share the facts that you know? I’m not trying to be disrespectful or rude, but unless you can bring up situations and scenarios that support your claim, is it really a fact or speculation.

    Thanks.

if they felt the need to respond, then Tiffany must have been telling the truth.

  • Tropical English

And Tiffany is the least of these problems. Wait til mainstream white folks get a hold of this mess!!!

In reference to Chuck Harmony’s comment labeling Tiffany as closed minded:

You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
    -Matthew 7:13-15 (NLT)

I don’t think she’ll be too distressed by his response…
