This is sad:

A 4-year-old boy covered in bruises was found unconscious in his Brooklyn home on Friday and died at the hospital, sources said. Jayden Lenescar’s mother, Myrna Chen Phang, summoned authorities to their Crown Heights apartment with a 2:30 p.m. call to 911, police said. “They took the boy out on a stretcher,” said a neighbor, Anna Gilliam, 49. “His mother was hollering, ‘Lord, no, don’t let my baby die! Don’t let nothing happen to him!’” Emergency workers put an oxygen mask on Jayden and were performing CPR as they rushed him to the ambulance, Gilliam said. Jayden was taken to Kings County Hospital and was pronounced dead, police said.

Police said Friday night they were investigating Jayden’s death as a homicide because of the bruising on his body. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The boy’s father, Mackenzy Lenescar, was being questioned about the death, a source said. Lenescar, a factory worker, had an order of protection put on him by Phang, sources said. “They were having problems in their relationship, but nothing to do with the baby,” said the boy’s aunt, Marie Helesca. “He was a good boy,” the aunt said. “I’ll miss him. My son will miss him.” Jayden’s grandmother, Yolette Charles, 52, was inconsolable at the scene and had to be carried away by relatives after she collapsed. “No, why?” Charles wailed. “I love my baby. He was my baby.” Phang lives with her mother in the Eastern Parkway apartment and has custody of Jayden, family said. Lenescar lives nearby at Charles’ home and gets Jayden on the weekends, family said. Relatives said there were no signs the child had been abused. “We’re not a family that abuses children,” said uncle Karl Henry, 25. “I don’t think this is possible.” Henry, who has a daughter, said he was just with Jayden a week ago. “He was the sweetest child,” he said. “I loved him as I love my own.”

Man, something must have happened for that poor baby to be covered up in bruises all over his body. SMH. R.I.P. little Jayden..

Damn shame that baby died a painful way and really it is crazy how often it’s happening to kids, I guess it’s always been happening but on the real this is how it get *****ed up because the parents that dont beat there kids like myself gotta deal with the Dr’s looking at me out the corner of there eye if I bring one of my sons in. I remember one incident where my son fell and his tooth was lodged in his gum I was so panicked and crying right with him that they thought I did it and sent a *****in social worker in to talk to me! Its funny how people are so quick to judge or decipher what happened when they have no clue, make up stories in their head about what happened. Then something happens in their household, they get judged when they are innocent then want to get mad. It baffles me. Wait until you hear the FULL story. In any case, I hate to see innocent children, any child treated so badly, and its worse to lose a life. It breaks my heart. But in this day and age, this world just aint worth it anymore. Everybody – according to the story on the local news here in NYC, the woman on the left is Jayden’s paternal GRANDMOTHER. The mother of Jayden’s father.

The story that Bossip printed implies that Jayden’s mother is possibly Asian, named Myrna Chen Phang. The local news did not show pictures of her.

Lots of discussion about the nationalities of the family members. Not really the point of the story.

I just happened to be browsing Bossip and I realized that I know these people. I would like to say a few things regarding Jayden’s family. I do not think that Myrna or Bobby (Mackenzy) would be capable of hurting their son. I know that his parents had some relationship problems, but I do not think they would ever harm their child. I really hope the NYPD finds out who did this and justice is served. R.I.P Jayden

Side note (not that it really matters): Jayden’s mom is of Panamanian decent. His dad is Haitian.

I know Jyden’s aunt and she told me a little bit to the story. The mom would not even let the dad see his son. Bossip needs to monitor and ban some of these blogs on here..ie-hannibal and i know the truth- why are you on a black website # 1. Go to your kkk website or something. I just don’t get it; I find it so sad and ignorant for someone to get on here everyday with as much hate and racism. ; RIP Jayden my heart goes out to the family.

Ok People, so I suppose if you saw my name, Sophia Leung I would be Chinese. There is no strong meaning in a last name for most black people. I am Jamaican. Chinese people live in Jamaica to this day. They marry and mingle just like the Indians and others that come there. A last name does not make you white or black. My mothers’s maiden name was Reeves. We all recognize it for what it is. Her father is a white man. But unfortunately, Americans are very limited with their views of black people. This is the reason, I love to see the look on the interviewer’s face when they call me in and realize that I am black woman or invite me out over the phone only to find out I am not Chinese or something other. Too bad, this world needs education and wisdom that can only come from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
