Tyler Perry Offers To Pay Rent For Tynesha Evans’ Family

Not even a day after the family of a slain single mother launched a fundraiser, Tyler Perry has stepped up to show his support in a big way.

Not only did the filmmaker offered to take care of the family’s rent in order to help them avoid possible eviction, but also arranged for 45-year-old Tynesha Evans’ body to be flown to Wisconsin for burial along with covering the cost of her 18-year-old daughter’s tuition at Spelman College so she doesn’t have to drop out.

Evans was killed on Saturday morning outside a Wells Fargo near Atlanta and her boyfriend, 58-year-old Othniel Inniss, was arrested at the scene of the crime. Tynesha was an author and a full-time health care worker.

According to the family’s GoFundMe page, two of her four children are still minors. 14-year-old Shakemia Turner called Perry “an angel on Earth” for all of the generosity he has extended the family’s way.

One of her other children, Audrey Turner, described the moment Perry contacted her to local news station WSB-TV. “It was a call I wasn’t even going to answer. I said, ‘Well, let me answer it to see who it is.’ I answered and the person on the other end said, ‘This is Tyler’ … I said, ‘Tyler who?’ and he said, ‘Tyler Perry,'” she recalled. “At that point, I just broke down crying.”

Evans was a mother to three daughters and one son.
