R. Kelly’s last-minute bid to postpone his child pornography trial was denied.
“Earlier this week, Kelly’s lawyers submitted a new motion appealing to have the case temporarily delayed due to a recent ‘torrent of publicity’ surrounding the case, which they feel could have a negative effect on the trial’s outcome.
But a Chicago judge dismissed Kelly’s attorneys’ request on Friday, when jury selection was due to start, and ruled trial proceedings will continue as planned–six years after he was charged with having sex with a minor. The 41-year-old has pleaded not guilty to 14 charges of child pornography, after a videotape emerged allegedly showing him having sex with an underage girl.”
It’s about time this case started to get rolling. In light of recent revelations in the trial, Kells could be in for a world of hurt.

That too much publicity excuse of his lawyer is ridiculus. That is the biggest bullsh*t ever. This case has always been hihg profile and R kelly is a celeb, so it will always be in the media and I expect it to get worse trough the whole trial.

@i’m just me…girl, that dude is guilty as hell! I’ve seen the tape and THAT is him and you can tell the girl is underage. She has the body of a 12 year old but moves like a 35 year old! He can’t deny that’s him and you can tell its his house because it was featured on Cribs before the tape was out. I think they kept requesting delays because they already know that they are going to be found guilty. If he gets off on this, I will lose the little faith I do have in the justice system.
