Well Ri-Ri started to get mad because I guess she thought that Chris was getting “too physical” with the young ladies. Rihanna decided to grab this guy that was walking by and started dancing with him and grinding all up on him. Chris looked at her, but you could tell that he really didn’t care too much, he was doing him. Well Rihanna realized that he wasn’t paying any attention to her, so she got more angry to the point that she broke away from the guy and went up to one of the girls pushed her to the side and hauled off and slapped Chris right in his face and one of the girls said “Damn *****, we were just dancing!!” The bodyguards pushed through a couple of people and grabbed Ri & Chris and pushed them off of the dance floor and I guess out of the back door. Now, if someone had told me this I wouldn’t have believed it, but I saw it for myself. Again, people paint Rihanna as the victim, but Chris didn’t do anything to her. And we don’t know how many times this had happened. Did that make the headlines? Did anyone say awwww poor Chris got snapped in the mouth for dancing with four girls? No

I’m very sorry poor Chris got slapped in the face. But poor Chris didn’t stop at slapping Rhianna in the face. You’ve seen the picture. She was a punching bag. And I understand that this society holds a double standard in regards to male-initiated domestic abuse however let’s be honest about the physicality of the male body– more muscle, more power, and hence more responsibility. All males understand that their hits, slaps, even playful jabs go much further and for that reason can cause far more damage than a female’s slap. So while I understand he may have been provoked, I cannot condone his reaction. To whom much is given much is expected. This includes things as seemingly mundane as body m*****. Men, in most cases, have a physical advantage and they should be cognizant of that at all times.
Additionally, Chris Brown’s apologies and “Oops” chains are quite tacky and make light of a serious situation that plagues many black communities. Let’s not forget that– this is an issue that extends beyond these two popstars and for that reason they both had great opportunities to really speak to the community on this issue and show their maturity after the fact. In my opinion, they both failed.
Now I like them both as artists, but they are definitely not role models and they will only receive my support when they become adults ready to take responsibility for the effect they have on others. Chris and Rhianna had an opportunity to send a message and they both took the easy route.
