Okay, now you’re all over the place–lol! You initially took issue with the notion that I feel Kicki killed it over Joe. Let’s finish that argument before we move onto Rakim & the rest…

The bottom line is this. Nicki is a brand new artist and everybody’s talking about her–whether good or bad. When Joe was new and on Def Jam, NO ONE was talking about him…which is why he was eventually dropped! *THAT’S* the difference between Joe and Kicki–she has more charisma and character and that gives her the edge over Joe. And that’s the truth whether you love it or hate it.

I’m not a fan of hers by the way; I just call it like I hear & see it.

It’s not about the content, but about how Em puts words together that makes him great. Em’s mind work differently from the average dope MC. Dre even said that when he first heard him, he was blown away by how he managed to rhyme words that didn’t naturally go together. In that regard, dude is a true genius.

I didn’t listen to the cyber thing. But a friend and I have been debating over this Nicki chick. She’s a decent replacement until our real women rappers come back. But the witch “IS NOT the greatest”….I want to make that clear. Don’t care who disagree with me, it’s my opinion and 9 out of 10 I’m usually right. Nicki sounds like she is and has been Lil Wayne understudy for a long time. A pet project he has been working on for years. I would like to hear her delivery before she become Lil Wayne special project…lol.

Personally she don’t fit in the category with the past real female rappers. She like a commercial you’re watching when you waiting for the show to begin… got me!

Most of you guys and gals are forgetting ( or too young to know) about jean G, Lauryn hill, Shawnna and the others…can’t list them all but bets believe they get my FULL respect.

Personal I think Shawnna will eat Nicki a** up. Written lyric or no written lyric. Shawnna delivery is strong. The difference between me and other people when it comes to Female rapper music is that I look beyond FAKE beauty and I study and take in the lyrical delivery and Nicki just doesn’t have it.

I’ve been in the Culture for 30+ Years and Nicki KILLED IT. She was clever and animated. If the stars align properly she may be a HUGE star.

Mos Def and Black Thought were my favorites. The cypher was the best part of the show. I didn’t need to see the rest of it. I thought the Tanzanian rapper sounded way better than Nikki.

OK…The Cypher is suppose to be Freestyle at its best and Niki’s was WACK…I don’t know who in the hell you guys compare her too but that girl delivery, tone, faces, are crap….I am in a state of shock to even believe that people would even say that $hit was tight…I watched it like 10 times to make sure I was hearing it right….I kept picturing Lauryn going at her, Eve going at her, hell Foxy and I can’t see this chick winning any battles…I’m really mad at this!!! That’s why female rappers females period can’t make it because females don’t support one another. Nikki is hot no matter how fake her accessories is and how annoying her voice can be at times even the faces she makes are annoying I don’t care who’s writing her lyrics she spittin em hands down. People kill me Trina can’t rap to save her life but her name always come up and I like Trina but the ***** aint said ***** hot since the late 90’s. Lil kim still hot Shawna was my favorite so slept on can’t wait for her return. Remy ma hot to bad she couldn’t control her temper.

I would Have to said the best performance were Jay-z and Jeezy and Gucci Mane…. In the Cyphers Em and Nikki were the Best… But the rest of the Show and Red Carpet were kinda boring… Mike Epps did good… and Congrads to Missy, CUBE, T.I. AND Hov

i know i’m hella late on this one but er uh i think Black Thought did well also. But Em did kill it as usual. And i agree with Precious, Em would kill Jay-Z in a freestyle battle. i just wish Em wud gain his weight back, he’s lookin a lil crackish nowadays…(hard to look at)

100% feel Eminem killed it, just listen to the the words in reverse and take the music away you will find a message hidden in there. Just as Michael Jackson sung about it does not matter if you are Black or white – Human nature, meaning we all are human, bleeding the same color blood and the interior of our bodies the same color makeup only the exterior is of various shades BUT at the end of the day we are all just humans.

200 years ago we all lived in the dark ages and the technology was nill, now fast forward throuh the mainframes, etc. technology has allowed us to do so much more yet people in the US still live below the proverty line; then you have someone like Eminem to remind us!
