Why can’t I feel WHOLE all by myself? I’m so sick and tired of people saying, “I need a man or woman to complete me!” You first have to complete and feel whole ALL BY YOURSELF before you jump into any relationship or a marriage. I am so glad she wrote so often sista’s suffer from low self esteem, low self worth, no confidence and feel that cash, looks are the key and they will sell thier souls to be degraded..when a person loves you you feel really good about yourself..and most of all secure. Great advice, simply put. If you have to give more than your 50% to make it work, it isn’t working. In this life a woman is simply going to have to do a lot of rejection, rather than trying to changing a man. No one ever told me about the amount of dumping I would have to do, but its worth it if it means I keep a space open for the man that respects me and isn’t selfish.

I read the comment about her being on a lot of magazine covers. Lets not forget about Laura Bush, Hilary Clinton, Jackie Kennedy. They have plenty of magazine covers. Lets not forget that none of them, excluding Hilary of course, were as smart and well-educated in their own right. Its not about being a model that people love about her, it’s about her being the complete package. That sort of positivity of Black women is not celebrated ENOUGH. She represents a woman like me who is marriage-minded, family oriented, and successful. That’s why she’s photographed and admired so much.

Uh, don’t know about that. Brothas that usually go after fat white chicks are usually into fat sistas, too. Brothas that talk down on sistas for being big are most likely to at least date a white woman who’s in shape and under 200lbs.
