Unfortunately, this came out from an employee of Matthew’s company that expressed that he is paying radio stations not to play Letoya’s music. I don’t think it has anything to do with Beyonce’s success because none of the female artists are even close to her (as far as album sales). Matthew knows that Bey is at her peak right now. We all know that a peak is defined by the inevitable decline that follows. So, in order for her to stay on top, any form of competition has to be knocked down before it can surface.

He is no different than corporate vultures that resort to trickery and “cover up” schemes to protect their assets. I haven’t yet read through all the comments, so I’m sure I’m repeating what someone else has said, but I love LeToya’s new CD, especially Regret (my jam) and She Ain’t Got. It’s in heavy rotation on my ipod. She’s beautiful and very talented. With that said, Bey really doesn’t have any competiton. She’s very successful in her own right, and I just don’t see Matthew wasting time and energy trying to keep LeToya down. If his daughter wasn’t a huge star, I could see it. I believe there is room for both of them. Unfortunately, LeToya’s CD has gone under the radar. She’s very underrated, and it’s shameful her record label didn’t promote her better.

If Beyonce was more talented then her she would have came out as a solo artist and not in a group. Matthew knew that he needed other girls to help his daughter get a record deal, she did not stand out on her own. If I remember correctly when DC released more people were interested in LaToya and not Beyonce. Matthew treated those girls so bad the was forcing them out and they were young and bit the bait…

LeToya and LaTavia left Destiny’s Child 2 weeks before they got replaced. It was a letter in Vibe magazine from February 2001 that said they didn’t want Matthew to manage them anymore. It was probably the record company’s decision more to replace them because the record company said it wasn’t a good idea for them to have more than one manager.

It’s funny how when they were struggling and Matthew was paying for everything, it wasn’t any complaints about his management style for LaTavia and LeToya. But as soon as they got big, and everybody liked Beyonce the most it was a problem then. Maybe the ones getting karma are LeToya and LaTavia for being jealous, lying heifers.

Beyonce is talented, beautiful and hardworking that’s why she’s on top. It’s a shame that a black woman got to be put down like this by her own people. The reason why we don’t have many black female superstars is because the white media always tries to undercut them. They do it to Beyonce, too. But she just has the talent and drive to keep succeeding. It’s such a shame that black blogs can’t be more supportive of one of our own. If the song is in the top 5 in airplay on urban, it’s in pretty heavy rotation. I’ve never seen the song in the Top 100 on ITunes. So to me, it seems like she’s getting a lot of promotion for a song that hasn’t done anything on the charts.
