Here’s where us Blacks need to use common sense. Tyra’s photo shoot was classy. It wasn’t meant as a joke like the black faces done by whites to be ignorant. I doubt any intelligent black person would see this as an issue.

I don’t think this is the same thing- she is not making fun of a race or this is not meant to be humorous or magnify a certain sterotype- it is showing beauty, so that is why it is acceptable

To the comments directed at me. If you clearly read my comment it says when I refer to black I am referring to african american. Yes my skin tone is dark. It is filled with olive tones. But does this mean I am considered an anfrican american. No! For one I am not even American. Two ya’ll need to stop equating every person with the african american culture. So you guys mean to tell me that people from Morocco are african americans too even though they are dark skin? Yea right! Do YOUR research! Think about how many times you think a latina is black because she could pass for a light skin black girl. Does that imply she is african american because she can pass? No! I guesss you all will start thinking persians are black light skin women too. Please! Not everyone has african in them people. I said my mother’s family is mistaken for black because people think they are light skin. There is nothign wrong with claming you are african or caucasian or fillipino etc. But stop equating black to eevryone!

Blackface was created to mock blackness. That most certainly is not what Tyra is doing. And what was the point of saying there is only one black model left? Are you implying the show is racist? There have been 3 black winners that I can think of off the top of my head. Do all the black models have to make it to the end to satisfy people? Yall are f*ckin crazy with this mess.
