Arnold Schwarzenegger Attacked By Fan In South Africa

According to Variety, Arnold Schwarzenneger, the action star and former California governor, was blindsided during an event in Johannesburg, South Africa early Saturday.

In a video that has since gone viral, the 71-year-old was speaking with fans before an unidentified man ran up and dropkicked him in the back. The ex-Mr. Olympia was barely affected, and the attacker was immediately detained by security.

Arnold apparently ate that kick like it as nothing and addressed the situation shortly after.

“Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot,” Schwarzenegger tweeted after the video began making the rounds. “I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.”

He also encouraged fans to share videos of the athletes at his signature event and give them all the attention instead of sharing the attacker.
