I have to take consideration into all of this. I feel that it could be just a situation where Beans needed to get some things off his chest. Never having the opportunity to say them to Jay, he put them on wax. Now, I myself would rather a homie come to me in person but I don’t know the situation. I have had friends dismiss me over bs and heresay and never once got the benefit of the doubt as the actual friend. I think he may be blaming Jay but it’s probably not all on him. I will say this. We lost a brother today in our family and I told the fellas one thing. Kanye said it best. If you admire someone then go ahead and tell’em. People never get the flowers while they can still smell’em. These are both two talented artist and I hope they can’t work it out.

I touched on this a lil’ bit in this 50 Cent thread. There’s much people don’t know, but act like they don’t care, but then defend Jay-Z all at the same time no matter what. You can’t tell a someone to get over things when you don’t know how that dude feels. As hard as it is to reach substantial success, you think someone will “get over it” when their one in a million chance is taken from them? Would you get over it if your friend ran off with a jackpot ticket you both bought, then told you to move on and get on your grind and get your own? What if you knew a dude who was blowin up in the game, but your skills was on par or even better than his, and the dude got wind of you, came to see you, put you on, but at the same time, jacked your flow and kept you from shining? On top of that, people knew it. Then everytime you got set to blow, you get blocked by your man/employer. Stopping your money, but you still thinking it will work out in the end.
But in the end, you helpin this dude set himself up to what he has become now, and when its your turn, you get no help to get your shine. Albums pushed back, touring as a flunky, all the while your buzz getting weaker and weaker because the opportunity is being wasted by a closet hater that can’t see you getting more light than he. Thats just ugly. Reminds me of when I was young and I saw a pair of shoes I liked and told my brother why I liked them and that I was getting them. He ran out and hit up any family he could to get money to get them before I got paid, then ran around telling people the same things I told him about the shoes. Petty sh*t. It gets no less petty when you’re grown, there’s just more at stake.
What’s funny is that Jay-Z even blocked Kanye from getting-on rapping for years, even though he had skills. Kanye even talked about it on the song Big Brother and in early interviews. However, he rolled with Jay instead of Dame anyway so thats a moot point. But, if that first album didn’t work out, he’d probably be just like the other Roc dudes because *****ody knew him from rapping; he made beats. I know producers get paid, but he wouldn’t have the light on him like now. He’d likely be as bitter as the rest of them, making songs and doing interviews about how dirty dude is, or wouldn’t have a voice at all working behind the boards; but that’s not reality. As it happens, Kanye is probably more influential than Jay-Z at this point. He also achieved mainstream status much sooner and with more acceptance. Rocafella didn’t push Kanye’s debut album, MTV boosted it by hyping “Through The Wire.” And it wasn’t from Rocafellas marketing. His eyes got wet from getting a Roc-chain, but the Roc was over by then so that gesture wasn’t honorable. Jay-Z didn’t jack Kanye’s flow because, well, he didn’t think he had skill anyway or that his kind of style would be accepted, hence blocking him from rapping for years.
