An eight month pregnant woman was gunned down while trick or treating with her two children in Chicago over the weekend. It is suspected to be gang related. SMH
The woman was walking with her child and two nieces on the south side of Chicago at about 7 p.m., when shots rang out. A stray bullet struck the 20-year-old mom in the back and she was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition. Although she still remains hospitalized today, the unborn baby did not have to be delivered prematurely and does not appear to be hurt by the incident.
The gang related shooting is said to be linked back to the Latin Kings. No arrests have been made.
