I agree with what you said except the “stupid hoe” part, LOL. I just don’t care for Joss Stone’s voice. To me, it sounds like she’s doing a horrible impersonation of what she thinks is a soul singer.

I disagree with the notion that Joss Stone can’t sing. To me, black or white, she is one of the best R&B singers out there. I do admit that her first CD wasn’t that great. Back then, she had the voice, but her singing lacked genuine emotion and maturity. But, as an artist, she is definitely growing and getting better. I listen to her second CD all the time and can’t wait for her next.

The funny thing is that black people (especially black women) seem to appreciate her talent far more than whites do. I guess in order to get props from them, she’ll have to start smoking crack like Amy Winehouse and downing vodka like Lily Allen.

Both of these “singers” are using other people’s culture to make records. Consequently one has to listen to the wtered down version of their music. Lilly allen tries with reggae and make it sound unappetizing and Joss stone just let me want to the original artist.Ms Franklin. It is puzzling why they cannot adopt their owm pesonas and sound rather that try to basterdize other peoples.
