Would You Sew a Patch on Your Tongue Just So You Can Lose Weight???

TonguePatch2

Dr. Chugay has created the Miracle Patch that helps you lose anywhere from 15 to 30 lbs in a month; however, the patch has to be sewn to your tongue and you can only have liquids. Only a doctor in Cali would come up with some sh*zzz like this.

How many of you would try this???

Dr. Chugay has recently begun performing a revolutionary weight reduction procedure, which he has dubbed the Miracle Patch.

This patch, when surgically applied to the tongue, produces a means to lose weight never before offered by other surgeons.

During a reversible procedure that takes less than an hour, the patient is fitted with a custom patch for the tongue which makes chewing of solid foods very difficult and painful, limiting the patient to a liquid diet. Under the direct supervision of Dr. Chugay and his staff, the patient is put on an easy to follow liquid diet, fulfilling all of their nutritional needs while at the same time minimizing caloric intake and maximizing weight loss results.

Recovery is rapid; and patients are typically able to return to work the following day.

10 patients have received the surgery and have seen impressive weight loss results, with some losing as much as 20 pounds lost in the first month after surgery.

Dr. Chugay is excited about bringing this procedure to Southern California and is thrilled to offer a solution to the eternal search for rapid weight loss techniques.

This entire procedure sounds absurd. As soon as you take the patch off, once you start eating solid foods, all the weight is going to come back. As you can see though, he has convinced some desperate a$$ person to try it… SMH. Just because a physician may have the M.D. next to their name, doesn’t mean that they are the smartest cookie.

  • hotmate

    crazy!

  • hotmate

    first!!

  • melo

This is crazy…just eat right and work out!

  • !!!!!R.I.P MIKE!!!!!

    HELL NO.

  • Aunt Viv

Ri-damn-diculous. How about just putting down the cookies, and working out for a change?

  • drenk

    @ Aunt Viv & melo

SERIOUSLY!!! Whatever happened to discipline and self control!!

  • Angee

Co-sign with Aunt Viv and melo!!

  • http://BOSSIP Damn D

Wow…..ppl will do anything to fit in with society. Love urself . If ur fat ur fat.
If u want to change that…. workout damn!

  • Alrighty Then….

I wouldn’t, but I know some folks who would… And the bad thing is, they aren’t even ‘fat’, just too conscious of what other people think…. smh…

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSHADDAAAP!!!!!

It’s just as absurd as getting your jaws wired shut to lose weight and people have been doing that for a while now.

  • Aunt Viv

What troubles me most is that the money they probably spent on this so-called procedure, could have been spent more wisely, on a gym membership, some fruits and vegetables, Jenny Craig, a pair of sneakers to run with, or an appointment with a real doctor, who’ll tell you that 20lbs in a month is drastic and dangerous!

  • Nikki

    I ain’t gonna lie…it’s tempting lol

  • Caramel Cat

I’m going to be honest, it’s a tempting technique. And the crazy part is that I know alot of people who would do this who aren’t even fat. It seems like a good idea for a temporary fix. Like say you have a big event coming up and you want to fit into a certain outfit or gown for that one day, I could see someone doing this for like a month and then going back to normal shortly afterwards.

  • drenk

hey the real question is what happens when they take off the patch, is it back to old eating habits and then back to the old size…?

  • nobody cares

A lot of people who want to lose 10-20 pounds are the ones who can’t lose it, this is the zone where it’s the hardest to lose, I co-sign a proceedure like this for those with a just a little weight to lose

  • hoodyhoo

Oh hell no!!! How sad that there are people who need a “patch” on their tongue to control their eating.

  • No u can’t be boyfriend #2!

LIKE SOMEONE SAID…EAT RIGHT AND EXERCISE! SUCH A WASTE OF MONEY (when all you gotta do is keep you’re mouth closed!)!

  • http://deleted xX__FxxKinG FanTastiC__Xx

    That is Definitely Tempting.
    Agreed @ Caramel Cat.
I Dont Think I Would Do It Though.
The Side Effects Are Probably Crazy.

  • iFeelFree

ANDDD how do you feel being a doctor and doing this to people? Nobody can ever tell me that this is OK.

  • Kierah

What’s new about a liquid diet? You could do that on your own. The patch doesn’t make it impossible to eat solid foods so cheaters will find a way.

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSHADDAAAP!!!!!

I wonder if there’s any risk of having fungus grow underneath that patch.

  • hoodyhoo

    AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWSHADDAAAP!

  • Southern Cabbage Patch

If I’ma pay a doctor to patch up my tongue, I might as well pay Jenny Craig A$$!

Collard Greens & Cornbread will not taste the same after the blender…No Thanks

  • Impressed

    Sure I would do it

  • Kigali (Marriage before carriage)

I agree with most of the comments. Dieting is a lifestyle. You have to keep it up. 30 minutes a day isnt anything. Its a sitcom for crying out loud.

Think about how much your heart would love for you to just get up and walk around a bit.

  • Schizophrenixxx

I wouldn’t get that procedure. It looks like it would hurt!

  • spoiledrotten

This is all a mind game. If you dring liquids ONLY for a month you will lose the weight anyway!! (not to mention you’ll be near death also) you don’t need a secret patch. Think about how it feels to bite your tongue, but, you’ll let someone put a needle and thread in it?? Owww! NO THANK U.

  • FASHIONISTA

    soooo basically they’re starving themselves?

  • lt

this reminds me of back in the day when some people where getting their mouths wired shut for a period of time to loose weight.

  • lt

I don’t care what Russell says, it does start at home and we as a people have to take responsibility for self.

  • lt

    oops, wrong post.

  • R U-kiddingMe

Absolutely ridiculous! These are the same kind of people who will piece their tongue and anything else to reflect pain or some type of sadistic procedure. The patch can’t stay on forever. The body can’t say on fluids alone forever. Once she has to take this thing off, she will have scar tissue on her tongue and the weight will come back. This doctor is laughing all the way to bank! There’s a fool born everyday.

  • as seen on t.v.

Any liquid diet will make you lose weight…It’s not a healthy way to take weight off and any doctor who is advocating it is obviously out to get rich off desperate people…So much easier to eat healthy and exercise…

  • THE SoSelphish 1

    I dont believe it

  • DetroitDiva

    Her eyebrows look nice

  • please

um you lose weight because it is a liquid diet it has nothing to do with the patch !!! you basically are starving yourself and that is not HEALTHY at all
    SMH
people will almost kill themselves for the sake of beauty

  • LaLa

    Dang she has nice eyebrows

  • eveinthegarden

Yall ever heard of FASTING? Same concept if you do just liquids/no food. Will power required? Yes. Torture patch. No.

  • Bubbles

I would not want to be on a “liquid” diet with Thanksgiving around the corner…

  • NAWLINS

nah i give too much head for this….

  • leeya

    Brilliant…

  • Who Am I To Judge

Just because you lose weight don’t mea you will be healthy and with it just falling off like that wont that equal flab??

  • Girl440

@ Nawlins – I’m wondering about the same thing! Not to be crass, but will this prevent me from giving my sweetie a “treat”? If it makes it uncomfortable and painful to eat anything solid, I think it might shake things up in my bedroom abit… my boyfriend will be trying to “reverse the procedure” without the doctor after about a week.

  • Consider this…..

My thoughts exactly. It’s AMAZING how f*cking insensitive people are to the whole issue of weight in general. As a bigger person you’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

  • BBBEE25

This would be great if it wasn’t a temporary fix. Once the patch come off, patients are going to want solid foods, and will gain weight on top of weight rapidly. Its not worth it to me.

  • http://www.hot-topics-store.com Jonathan Brown

In 2005, I began gaining weight in spite of the fact that I was eating healthy and exercising regularly. I became very discouraged, especially since I could not pinpoint a cause for the sudden weight gain. I had my thyroid tested and underwent other tests as well. According to the tests, all was well. I was relieved, but still perplexed. Then, one day I heard about the Master Cleanse. I researched the cleanse and its simplicity intrigued me. I was uncertain whether I’d be able to drink the “lemonade” concoction for 10 days, but I was willing to try. Peter Glickman’s book was wonderful. Every time I had a question…and I had many, I could find the answer in his book. It was like a manual. During the cleanse, my night sweats ceased, my acne cleared up and my allergy symptoms went away. I was so excited about the results I acheived after 10 days, that I went six extra days. As a result, I have lost over 20 lbs. and kept it off. My body simply craved better foods after the cleanse and I didn’t argue with it. I will probably do this cleanse quarterly for the rest of my life and recommend it to anyone “willing” to try it.

  • beth
