Agree, let’s hope the jurors do the right thing, and send him to prison. If there isn’t enough evidence against him in this case (a frickin tape!) then I dont know what else they need. Add to that the fact he married a child; Aahliya when she was 15.

Well, that’s another sad part of this case to me — the sexual abuse of children is a serious problem in our community that isn’t getting discussed to the extent it should, IMHO. You’re right about the rampant abuse of children overseas. I recently saw a do*****entary about children of prostitutes in Calcutta called “Born Into Brothels,” and the girls are forced into prostitution and marriage at very young ages, and there is no protection for them whatsoever. It was heartbreaking to watch. The American photographer who filmed the doc and taught the children photography worked very hard to get as many of them into boarding schools as possible because that’s the only way they could avoid their destructive, hideous fate.

I don’t have confidence that he’s going to do some time, unless there’s some smoking gun and I don’t see any yet.
If the prosecution is saying that this girl was about 13 and this happened 6 years ago, that would put her at 19 today and not 23 (the real age of the “alledged” victim). And if it was her, then she would have been 17 (or closer to 18) at the time of this tape. Even if the girl was 13 and the tape was released later, it still doesn’t prove her real age or her identity. Kelly can say it wasn’t him all day long, but if the girl denies it, and she can’t be caught lying about it, then there’s reasonable doubt right there.
There are far too many holes and “guessing games” in this case for it to stick.
