I respect Cuba for his works. You can’t take it from him, He is a fantastic actor. However, it is a shame that many successful black and/ or biracial men either never want to have anything to do with black women or tend to marry white women once they find fame. Now. don’t get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with inter racial marriages but when this becomes the norm and an obvious imbalance, then there obviously is an issue here. To all the white folks that think we black women are simply jealous. We are not. What’s there to be jealous off? Have your women got ten arms and ten legs and are different in biological function to women of color? We simply are addressing what needs to be addressed. Afterall, I have come across many a blog/question asking why black men don’t like to date their own. This common remark suggests to me that even YOU ALL have noticed that this trend is in unseemingly high proportions to be normal. So why get upset when we black women (or the black community) try to address this issue? On the other hand, it is important how we (the black community) take and address this issue. The solution does not lie in outcasting our own because it only serves to worsen the problem. I believe we must support each other as best we can while gently trying to correct this imbalance. I think we all should start at home. Lets imbibe a lot of self worth & confidence (which the media is always trying to to strip us of) into our kids. And to our women folk, we need to(and I know it’s difficult) continue to remain as beautiful (and we are) positive, loving and nurturing towards our men and each other.

Wow, some of comments are harsh. When you are biracial it seems this is always the case especially depending on which side you favor more. Why does he have to be a sell out if he decides to date white women? Are we only suppose to stick to “our” own kind, but what about those of us like Cuba who are of mixed race. When people make comments to us in the street do we really have to justify ourselves and flash pictures of our parents to defend who we are with. Oh well I guess we all have our own points of views and the right to express them.
