We are all entitled to our own opinions, no matter how idiotic the next person feels about them. They have the right to exist and live by their philosophy. I appreciate the fact that they are no longer hooded and hiding. They are exposed and I have more respect for the man who tells me in my face that he hates me than he who pretends in my face. We should all take the page from their book where you stand up for what you believe in and speak to it with passion.

This isn’t surprising. The Southern Poverty Law Center released a study earlier this year showing a 54 percent hike in hate groups in the U.S. since 2000, splcenter.org/news/item.jsp?aid=366. I believe the FBI also recently reported an increase in activities among white supremacist groups and the like.

With no tangible end to the recession in sight (10.2 percent unemployment rate — 15.7 percent unemployment for blacks (Bob Herbert has a good column today at nytimes.com), I think public displays of bigotry will continue to grow. I believe I read that threats recorded against President Obama have reached unprecedented levels (the overseas press is covering this more closely than the MSM, I think).

These are hard times, indeed.

Every since prior to the election, they have been practicing their techniques to put together group protests. You can see how the same people who were at the Republican rallies have folded into these Tea Party folks. In the mean time these other splinter groups have been slowly aligning themselves. They are aware that we are severly divided as a group and their aim is to capitalize on that divisiveness.

Very true! These “Teabagger” folks are unable to cope with any kind of change and resort to outlandish statements/displays, instead of participating in a civil, balanced conversation.

Not that I’ve seen…( mixed couples), I have seen a few but much less than I ever saw back up North..And the blks down here are pretty mcuh from everywhere else…the blks actually from Az,stick to themselves…Hispanics sticks to themselves, it’s starting to change amongst the youth (school kids) but no, things are by and large the way they have always been…

One of those groups had a protest in my city about 10 years ago. The police protected the racists and held the protestors back. Of course the racists had to get to their cars after the rally so some of the protestors beat a bunch of the racists up. They haven’t been back.

There are plenty of these in Corporate America too. There was a man in my dept that refused to acknowledge me. From the first day when I was introduced he didn’t shake my hand or say hello. Wouldn’t say hi didn’t look at me. His last day on the job they threw him a party in the office. Everyone in the office asked why I didn’t go. I told them that man refuses to talk to me and looks right through me when I walk in the halls. I was happy the day he left.

I bet you he’s part of the same group.

Darlings, true white men and women are of fair hair and skin, with blue eyes ( a true Aryan). What these to very dark haired gentlemen are doing is a mystery to me. It seems everyone want to adopt a cause or in this case a race. These are by no means “white men” dear. They are confused at best.
