First She Ditched the Brothers, Now Kelly’s Skin is Lighter in a UK Ad???

When Kelly first ran off to the UK, we thought she would stay true to herself…especially with her being the biggest advocate for chocolate, dark skinned women. But lately, we have reason to believe differently.
Flip the hood to see Kelly featured on a website looking a lot lighter than we remember.

The lighting does that to people. In any professional shoot the lights will usually make you lighter, because the more light there is the more flattering you will look… It’s meant to fill in any deep creases or wrinkles. I’m sure it has nothing to do with her.

I sincerely don’t think that Kelly asked to be made to look lighter, this is usually the decision of the company. Unless you have proof of Kelly looking lighter in all her pics lately, quit trying to cretae drama where there is none!

This is an obvious lighting issue. Honestly. I am a caramel complexioned woman, but I guarantee you there are some photos that I look light bright in. When the camera’s are flashing and the lighting is not adjusted it will make someone as dark as Djimon Honsou or Estelle look much much lighter…smh…

The final look of this mag AND PIC! was approved at several different levels! The image was approved by the photog as well as director of photography! As well as any number of editors! KELLY LOOKS JUST THE WAY THEY WANT HER TO LOOK! (and no! she likely didn’t have a say in the final print!)

The lights contributed to this but it’s clearly not just the lights. She was photoshopped to look lighter. The brown-skin women on here should recognize that. Thats Kelly. Alesha Dixon’s name is on the flyer and right next to Alesha’s name is Kelly’s. I am a huge Kelly fan and its definitely her. She has no problem with the color of her skin, so I am sure she didnt request to look lighter. As everyone has said it is the light. Kelly has been photographed for many different things and she has always shown her true self. Why would she try to change now?? Like we wouldnt notice.
