Boris Kodjoe, Nicole Parker and their adorable children are on the cover of JET Magazine. In their interview, they give a little insight about how important family time is and also why they are not constantly in the lime light.
Celebrity couple, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, have chosen to “live for their family” despite the pressures of maintaining their thriving acting careers. Married in 2005 after meeting on the set of the former Showtime TV series Soul Food, the two have ditched the bright lights of Hollywood for a much simpler life in Atlanta for the sake of their children, Sophie, 4, and Nicolas, 3. “The pull of Hollywood is so strong that sometimes your priorities are not in the right place,” says Nicole. “We wanted to make sure that we focused on our children during these delicate years.
Such a beautiful family. It’s nice to see a family that is not tainted by all the scandal that comes along with celebrity fame.

i met them a few years ago and i expected her to be a complete *****, but she was a total sweet heart. you could tell that she didn’t want to be bothered while she shopped, but she still took the time to stop and sign autographs and say hello to all of her fans while she was at a starbucks in the mall. boris just sat back and let her have the shine. he actually seemed to enjoy seeing her get so much attention (in a good way).
after seeing them be so cool and down to earth, i promised myself that i’d always support them in anything that they’re a part of.
I thought one of the reasons they stay out of the limelight was because one of their children suffers from a debilitating disease or something similar. If that’s the case, I hope they continue to shield them from the media.

I once went to school (many moons ago) with a girl that looked exactly like his wife Nicole, very intelligent brainy girl who was mad enough to accept a nutter like me in her group, but I never found her particularly pretty at all. If she has turned out anything like Nicole now, boy was I wrong.
On the whole, what a fine beautiful black family, and something we all in the black community should inspire to do and be.
More black men in the would like Boris, the better us sisters would be, end of story.

I disagree if most sista had a husband like Boris, He would be up to his eye ***** in debt going broke paying child support. He wouldn’t have enough money in his pocket to rub two nickels together. Finally, to be as stunning as he is, Boris is not getting much play in Hollywood. Any man that looks like him should rival even the biggest Hollywood stars. Boris SHOULD be overexposed. It’s quite interesting. So, no I am not impressed that they moved to Atlanta. Looks to me like Hollywood just ain’t that interested.

For those peep who say Halle’s daughter is soooo cute, look at Nicole and Boris’ children in comparison. Some peep babies take the less flattering features of a parent. This is not the case of this couple. They were quite inspiring when Boris was on Centric Channel’s Leading Men.

Blacks have been doing this for years (worship of the biracial and belief that it represents all blacks), and the cycle apparently refuses to stop. We are our own worst enemy.
