Here we go, white man this white man that, this church this….. This same crap goes on in the black community (child abuse) and the reasons why you may not hear about it are the same as everyone else’s. The cover- ups to keep up the family name or public stature, the fact that abuse can become a way of life when it is passed on throughout the generations, folks turning their heads and not reporting, financial gain to keep it a secret. I can go on but the SIN is very much and has been for a long time in the black community and to blame it on another race is plain ignorant, which leads to another reason why abuse is often ignored and under reported, the attitudes and mindsets of black folk. You may have heard this one before,” Black people did not do that stuff until after the white people did” (as quoted to me). All I could do was give them a blank stare,I already tried to explain but it they were not to tryin hear it.
