Baby Jordan a/k/a Lebron James wants NBA players to stop wearing the # 23 in honor of his “Airness” Michael Jordan and is willing to start a petition as he plans to jerk Michael off even more. King James has even vowed to quit wearing the # 23 and switch to his Olympic jersey No, # 6. Continue…

I mean what does Mike do off the court though? Like for real what does he do? I heard he doesn’t do ish for Chi-Town. Um, I think he was a great player, but I don’t know that his number needs to be retired throughout the league.

  • http://www.myspace.com/gazfynest nu me

i have been over mj even when he was playing barkley was and is my fav player yep i said it..all the jordan stans come after me if you wanna! naw lol mj on the court a plus …off the court NO!

  • lani3000

Jordans number shoulda been been retired. No other player EVER can do what he did in that number

    PPPPEEEEERRRRRIIIIIOOOOODD!

  • DayShifter

The whole number retiring thing is STUPID!!

  • I HATE the N WORD

Did James have a father, is that what its all about?

  • http://comcast g.d.c

Lebron knows wht he is talking about, unlike some of you!!!

  • Blu Rain

I see it as an honorable thing. I wonder why so much negativity has resulted from this post. We love to hate on one another…wow!

  • Get Real

LeBron is disrespecting a lot of old school players. Before we retired Mike’s number for the entire league they need to retire number Wilt’s number 13. And while they are at it they need to retire Kareem’s number 33. And most off they need to retire Bill Russell’s number 6. But since LeBron wants to wear number 6 he won’t push for that.

MJ has gotten enough credit. People need to get off dude’s sack.

  • Daywalker( BOSSIP IS CLEARLY RUN BY FAT HEFFAS WHO ARE BITTER, UGLY, AND GO THROUGH A LOTTA VIBRATORS!!!!)

Mayne, EFF LEBRON LAMES!!!! If a n*ggah wants to wear #23, then so be it!! MJ was great, but to be honest, he didn’t start winning any championships till Scottie Pippen came along, so miss me with all that he was “the best” bull-ish!!! And to be honest, Lebron’s B*TCH AZZ ain’t won a championship to this day as of yet,his damn self!!!

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, LAKERS!!!!!!!

    SINCERELY,

    DAYWALKER

    @GET REAL

    WELL SAID!

There were several great player way before Michael Jordan.

    @ Get Real & Stefany

M.J. was the best player in N.B.A. history period!!! There will never ever be another period!!!!

  • Money First

The bottom line is people can say what they want but its about dollars and cents. The NBA and every owner of an NBA team made more money WORLDWIDE when Jordan was in the league then any other player in history. Until you can tell me Magic, Wilt or any other player in the history of the NBA did that then there is nothing to speak about. They didn’t share that revenue with Jordon when he was playing so it should not be a big damn deal about a retiring a number!!!!

  • Man, I just don’t care™

I see the b-i-t-c-h in LeBron James is coming out. He could care less about MJ’s number being retired (which it shouldn’t). That was a publicity stunt so he could look like he “respects the game” and shyyt like that. Let’s not forget LeBron and Jordan are both owned by Nike (yeah, I said “owned”).

Lebron probably doesn’t even know who the all-time greats are BEFORE Michael Jordan. Sam Jones, Elgin Baylor, Dr. J, Connie Hawkins, Earl the Pearl, ETC. SMH at this fool.

No wonder he can’t win or even lose with graciouness.

He still doesn’t deserve to have #23 retired across the board, all the money he makes pimping the poor black community off his ugly a$$ shoes should be enough gratitude for him.

    EXCELLENT POINT!

    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar #33:
6 NBA Championships, 6 time NBA MVP, 19 time NBA ALl Star, All Time NBA Leading Scorer, Rokkie of the year, and 10 time nba First Team awards.

I can go on all day but i won’t, so for all you people who think lebron is right i think you need to learn your history.

  • shamar from the m town

i agree there are more players just as great as jordan. lebron has a valid but selfish point but no other player is more identifed by there jersy number than jordan when these guys come up now in b-ball you dont see the magic or bird or even wilt thats the reason he said it when you think jordan you think 23 now i dont agree that it should be retired but i see why he said it

  • LBCER

    LeBron ain’t no Baby Jordan.

  • Gimmeabreak 78

Lebron is still in his 20s, so for him, his memories of the NBA began with Michael Jordan, even though there were many legendary players before him (Dr. J, anyone?). No disrespect to MJ, but I think retiring the number 23 across the league is ridiculous.

For crying out loud, Jesus died for all humanity, but we haven’t retired the letter “J” from the alphabet, and Hispanic kids all over the world are named “Jesus”.

I think Lebron needs to get a grip with the hero worship.

  • white male

    What about WIlt or Russell?

  • goddy_MOBB

this is bs here..my stuff aint posting

  • Steady

Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem, Magic, Oscar Robinson, Magic, Dr J and many more have contributed greatly to the game and all contributed to society. All Jordan did and does is take from society. You never hear of him donating much time or money to society. He would not even show up for the make-a-wish foundation, when there was 8 different kids dying of cancer requesting to meet him as their final wish. I used to be on Jordan’s jock like many of you, but after his HOF speech and his shunning of the Kid…..No Vaseline

  • STEFANY

    @Steady

    I AGREE!

It’s not just about what you do on the court but what you do off the court, and Micheal Jordan is an a$$hole.

  • Rrrrroe Ski Love- A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

@ STEFANY Thank You for the stats- these youngins only seen Mike play and don’t know much about the real heros of the game. R.I.P. Waymond Tisdell -Accomplished baskettball player, accomplished musician, accomplished pastor and servant of GOD.

MAD PROPS TO JORDAN, BIG UPS TO LEBRON !!!!!
    HE DESERVES IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • White Women Rule

Dear, while sports isn’t my particular fortié, I can assure you that those in the sports world that I know and love would hardly call thios young man, “Baby Jordan”. I do believe that Championships make the man. How many does he have? And for those of you who say..”the best in history”, darling history is still in effect, so that’s impossible.

  • Nfamous

Why are Black folk so negative…
The author acts as though LeBron is doing something bad by helping the man engrave his name as a basketball legend going on to say that Magic Johnson’s number should be retired when Magic was AGAINST Barack Obama for President.
    Crabs in a Barrel effect.

  • karla

Michael Jordan is king but he does not want his # retired.

  • karla

Those renter center businesses are really good for the black community. They are raping the neighborhood. Do some research idiots.

  • James

@I HATE the N WORD. Who cares if you hate it? A lot of us hate the way you people act. That word won’t go away if you all continue to disappoint.

  • P. Sergio ( Straight From Angola)

Lebron is actin like a a**** hole… wtf is he talking about….

  • nba expert sez…

people, the main thing that players in the association are thankful to mike for is…

HE GOT THEM PAID $$$ LIKE NEVER BEFORE!!!

w/o jordan, a lot of what you take for granted about the nba is not there BECAUSE THE NIKE – GATORADE – HANES etc. $$$ and every other licensing partner would not be there.

remember bird and magic wearin’ converse? and happy to be makin’ a mil a year? a decade later, antoine walker is able to pull in 104 mil over his career. the diff?

    # 23 and his ability to generate revenue.

besides his skills, he pays the bills !
