Yesterday I was so upset I had absolutely no words. I didn’t know what to say or think. All I could think about was how the feeling was very much the same as a few years back when a crazy woman that lives not too far from my hometown murdered her pregnant friend and took her friends other three children and stuffed them in the washer and dryer. That same sick and listless feeling came over me again with this poor innocent angel Shaniya. I have a little cousin named Shaniya…. *sigh*

I read your post yesterday, and I totally agree. Some things are too painful to talk about. This makes me sick to my stomach. I keep thinking about what horrors she may experienced before she left this earth.

The mother appeared in court yesterday, and she looked so stoic and emotionless. I just couldn’t believe it. I know individuals should be deemed innocent until proven guilty, but her demeanor is horribly disturbing.

Most of us have been following this case and though I knew it did not look good, I still held out some hope, because miracles do happen. She was such a beautiful child, a baby still only 5 and the thought of what she was going through, what men were doing to her via permission from her sick mother just angers and breaks my heart at the same time.

I hate to say this, but had she been a dark black unattractive child, this story wouldn’t have made Nancy Grace’s lap. But on a good note I sincerely pray that this child comes back to haunt her mother and whoever was responsible of hurting her. This is disgusting.. The sad part is that the United States court systems often enough impose rulings that if a parent is deemed unfit all they have to do is hold down a job find an apartment and pay all of there bills for 6 months…Even if her father didn’t want to let the mother see her a court order would have forced his hand soon enough. A lifetime of being a F*%&ed up person can not be fixed in 6 months but the courts seem to think that’s all it takes. My prayers are with this precious babies family who loved her.

As for the mother and that thing that she sold that beautiful baby too, I hope that they don’t get executed. At least not until after someone shows them what it feels like to be tortured.

When I heard that Shaniya’s body was discovered, I wept out loud. I had to catch myself because I was at work. This little one and her five years of life will probably stay with me. She was such a beautiful girl. UNBELIEVABLE………..(sob)…

The dude that did it looks so insane that I’m not sure there is a punishment invented that would make him remorseful.

First and foremost this type of crime happens all across racial lines, so I really don’t see your point in bringing up black women.

Second, I never gave Rick Ross’s babymomma a high five or a low five because I could care less about her or any other rat trying to get money through cheap methods of exposure. Hi Sydney. My heart has been so heavy since this story broke. I have no words to say about this tragedy. I wholeheartly agree with you, Ms. EJ. This is a time for mourning that’s why Kigali needed to be put on blast for making this a black woman issue. To me, all child abusers need to be dealt with swiftly and severely no matter their color. People like Kigali can’t see past her absolute disdain for black females. This person is very ill. True some profiles fit a particular demographic but statically women are involved in alot more of these crimes than society’s perception was my only point made. She was probably irritated that time was being taking away from her crack pipe time.. I did not see the news of her being arrigned, I probably would have wanted to throw something at my television.

I read about this yesterday and this story is so sad, sickening, shameful and shocking. That mother needs to rot in jail forever, get clean and suffer in her on mental prison for what she;s done to her OWN baby. The father now has to live with that “What if?” and “If I had only…” forever. SMH God has taken home his angel and she is no longer suffering.

Believe it or not, I have become more relaxed in my views toward black females. At this point, I dont care if they throw themselves off of a cliff hitting every jagged edge on the way down. I just wish she wouldnt involve her children or anyone else children. Do what you want with your life, just leave the kids out of it.

They need to bring the death penalty back becuz these animals are out of control. Both the mother and the killer deserves a bullet in their heads.

I’m happy that the police were at least able to find the people that did this. Often we hear about children dead or missing then the case goes cold. I hope that justice is served on behalf of this child and no defense attorney is able to get these people out of prison.

I am not a social worker, I am not a mentor, I am not a peer counselor. That isnt my responsibility to clean up after the mess made by black female. You black females already get my tax dollars, you get welfare, section 8, Crystal Stairs, buss passes, free education, free buckets of chicken, WIC, free healthcare, not you want more? Sounds like you are doing a very good job with your daughter. Good for you. You made me think about my mom when I was a kid. She would not let me spend the night over just anyones house. She had to come and investigate do background checks and so on LOL! I used to be so mad but now as an adult I understand. It is our responsibility to protect children. As a partially black woman, I’m ultra sensitive to the issues in “our” community. Especially involving our kids. I think its a absolutely beautiful thing that our creator created different races with different hues. I couldn’t live in a world devoid of color, that goes for humans, plants, animals, art and SHOES, lol. I just read an article about Shaniya’s father. Late in the 90′s, his wife and her sister were found bound and gagged along with a man. They were the victims of a robbery and yes, all three were dead.

The story is already sick but the details will just get worse. I thought since this guy is obviously so disgusting even having her at the hotel that maybe something happened in there that killed her. Sorry to be disgusting but i thought like he could have choked her or something and then maybe she died accidently. Now they say the camera also shows him leaving with her and she was still alive. So he killed her between leaving the hotel and going 7 miles down the road where her body was found. It is so horrible but in this case she is in a much much much better place.

I did have an epidural b/c those contractions hurt, but once I was fully dialated it was no thing (first time giving birth and only child).

I’ve seen posts like that on here. I know this is a gossip site, but why would anyone write something as insensitive and heartless as “Old News, Next” in a thread about a murdered 5-year-old girl. We are our brother’s keeper.

You’re right about the lack of respect for elders. One night, a few years ago, I saw an older woman, who reminded me of my grandmother, standing up on the Metro, and no one offered her a seat. I was standing up myself, or else I would have gladly made sure she was comfortable.

@WORDTOTHEWISE- I do too you are not alone on working on things and getting somethings right. In the word it says to examine oneself. I was told early on that if I ask for God to show me-Me to be prepared, b/c somethings will not be pretty. I was shown via friends/family that I had a harsh tongue I had no clue. I was hurting peoples feelings and not knowing it. Then I began to read passages in the word that dealt w/the tongue. The tongue is very mighty and powerful. Then I was shown that I had no patience I was a now person. I found myself in situations the forced me to be patient at first it was so hard, but it taught me to lean on God and is word. The saying that he is an on time God is true. These are things he showed me. So I went back to those whos feelings I hurt and it was the best feeling. Many folks can not admit fault I don’t care though wrong is wrong right is right it is not a pride thing for me but a right thing, b/c I don’t want anything on my record left undone if its within my power.

I will struggle a lifetime trying to understand how this can happen to a child. It is in times lke this that the devil has you believing he is winning his battle.

I am a new mom and I cannot imagine nurturing and carrying a child for 9 months to bring it into the world and mistreat it. My heart breaks whenever I hear my baby cry or even when he jumps because something startled him. How could you allow harm to come to your precious child? Any child for that matter. I think of how frightened, sad and alone that poor baby must have felt. There is a special place in hell for people to harm children. I have not returned to work and stay at home with my son partially because I don’t trust too many people with my child and I would kill a m-effer if they looked at my child funny. God bless that sweet babies soul and comfort her poor father.

This is so sad,it’s my first time hearing about it and I just can’t stop crying about it.How can someone be so sick to give your child up for anything.

I don’t think they need death penalty,that’s to easy they should be tortured or stoned to death.Not just have a needle stuck in their arms and die that easy that poor baby had to suffer so should the ppl who had anything to do with killing her and I feel especially bad for her little brother he’s going to have to deal with this for a long long time if not for the rest of his life.

Those involved deserve a long drawn out painful punishment. Death penalty is too humane for them. I can’t imagine the pain and fear in her final moments. To be abused and then thrown away. My heart is absolutly broken. I pray that she rests forever in peace precious child.

May her soul rest in peace. And may this sad revelation bring closure to her father an other loved ones, so that the healing process can begin. She deserves every a$$ whoopin coming to her when she goes to prison. If someone had taken the child against her will, that would be another story. But she traded her kid, for a quick hit.
