Here are a few shots of Alicia Keys making an impromptu visit to Frederick Douglass High School in New Orleans before a concert last week. It’s always great to see a little positivity from time to time. Those kids probably lost their minds when that received that surprise visit..

Its good to see Alicia Keys always doing good deeds! It says alot for her character. Good for those kids as well. I bet that was the best damn school surprise they EVER got. Hell, when I was in school, nothing like this would have ever happened.

That is wonderful that she did. SMDH at all the kid’s camera phones! In my high school (2001 graduate) you were suspended if you had a phone on you and it didn’t matter who was in the building. My how times have changed.
I think it was wonderful that she was there reaching out to her fans and speaking positively. Kudos Alicia for getting into the communities.

I had always watched her from afar, but due to Mutual friends it wouldn’t be right, but now we are planning to meet for new years eve. We have exchanged dozens of e-mails and phone calls. She now knows how I felt for her 17 years ago, And our future is as bright as ever.
