If  Oprah decides to renew her contract with CBS Studios, she will also have to take a major pay cut. It seems that major networks have had it with Oprah’s  large price tag that comes with the rights to air the daytime talk show.

Stations have made it clear that if she does come back, they’ll have to significantly reduce the license fees they pay. With station revenues being down 40 percent to 50 percent, they can’t continue to pay license fees projected on revenue remaining the same. Not to mention her ratings are going down. But really, what does Oprah care; she is sitting on stacks upon stacks, so she probably won’t even notice a pay decrease.
