“The R. Kelly child pornography trial abruptly adjourned for the day because of a last-minute defense witness who could undermine the testimony of a woman expected to detail a threesome she allegedly had with Kelly and an underage girl.
The prosecution witness, a single mother from Atlanta, had been scheduled to testify this afternoon. But at about 1 p.m., Judge Vincent Gaughan adjourned the proceedings for the day.
With jurors out of the courtroom, Gaughan said defense lawyer Sam Adam Sr. had told him that morning of a new witness — not on the defense witness list — who had just come to light.
‘I have no idea whats going on. But it might be impeachment of this witness’ scheduled for the afternoon, Gaughan said, apparently referring to the Atlanta woman.”

I saw the tape and it looks and sounds like kells and the girl looks young but that is something that they have to convince twelve jurors from his hometown of Chicago of….and the evidence is mostly cir*****stantial or he say she say….its a tough case to prove despite the tape….without a victim to put on the stand…..I say he has about a 75 % chance of beating this….even with the tape….and that number increases with whatever happens with this new witness for the defense!!!

I could go in there and do what everybody else is doing saying it looks like him and it looks like her but i am just *****uming just like everybody else is doing…thats why the case is tough it would be an easier case if she would say it is me and he is saying its not me…..but other than that its speculation and he say she say….in my opinion it is him in the tape…..but how can i prove that because i was not in the room holding the camera!!!
I just don’t understand this trial. Basically, your victim has not only refused to testify but says it’s not her. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t condone what he did by any means BUT how are you going to put somebody in jail because cousin pookie says that “I know what my blood looks like and it’s her on the tape”. So that’s what they’re basing this entire case on. Even if they believe the cousin, is that really proving that’s him on the tape beyond a reasonable doubt. I don’t think so, but should they still let a pedofile go because they don’t have any/questionable “evidence”. I’m torn, as much as I want to see justice done, this case would’ve been thrown out long ago if this was a “regular” person. Why? Because IL doesn’t care about a black girl being pee’d on, but because it’s R. Kelly, he may go to jail. I’m really torn on whether or not this trial is a good thing. Something was fishy about that Atlanta woman from the start. When you take the witness stand your history is an open book and she’s sure to have more than her share of skeletons in the closet. She ain’t gonna look good after cross-examination.
They need to let the witness speak. This is all looking bad. Her whole family says it’s her. And a surprise witness is coming at last minute. The victim needs to confess or the Pied Pedo could walk away. Hopefully, the witness can testify.

That’s exactally why I keep saying that the prosecution needs to get the alleged witness to testify against R.Kelly. For every woman the procesution puts on the stand to testify against R.Kelly, the defense will have a woman to testify for R.Kelly. So basically all you have is a bunch of hearsay. And the jury needs more than hearsay to convict R.Kelly. The prosecution has had years to work on this case, so if R.Kelly gets off it will be b/c of their poor preparation and poor performance.
Unfortunately, black folks are quite Talibanish when it comes to their girls. If a girl is raped, its because her skirt was short. If a grown man sleeps with your 12 year old neice, it’s because she was with boys before or it’s excused because she got a hit song out of it.
