I think that this show was just entertainment. These ladies had no real interest in flav. They just wanted to jump start their careers.

I also think that flav is not a good catch to begin with. regardless of his looks, he has some startling views of how to find a mate. I am glad you found someone to make you happy but your views of how to find a man are distored. oOu can not judge a book by its cover. A man can be gorgeous on the outside and the worst on the inside. Skin black or white is just that. A horrible person can camouflage himself by his good looks and charm. He can wine and dine you and tell you what you want to hear. Men of all races have Learned this art. Everyone has character flaws. It is harsh to say that all black men are unworthy and we should not consider them as a mate because of their skin color. I have been burned but I refuse to blame it on the color of a man’s skin.

Wow. I am reading the back and forths on this blog. Hardly any of it is about Flavor Flav. It’s more about white people vs. black people, interacial dating, blah blah blah. My thoughts are as followed:

1. Who really cares who Flavor Flav proposed to. There were white women on the show. There have been white women on every season. So what if he prefered to propose to a woman that wasn’t necessarily black. She didn’t really look white to me either. Point is, who cares. Does anyone really want to date Flavor Flav? Why do we care what she looked like? Why do we care that he didn’t marry any of his “black baby mamas”. Who cares???? Flavor Flav is not someone I’d go running behind for love. Half to majority of the girls on his show don’t even like him. It’s a publicity stunt. I heard Chuck D on a radio station here is Texas talking about Flavor Flav and his show. He said that Flav’s real girlfriend hates the show. Why get pulled into reality that is not really reality??? Come on….

2. @Kim, I feel sorry for you. If you really are a black woman so proud to date a white man then more power to you. All the ignorance that you’re kicking along with your pride is making you look like a moron. It’s certainly making your points less valid. It really almost seems like a joke. I actually hope it is because for any woman to allow any man, no matter what race, to define whether or not she is classy or anything about her is disheartening. That’s not just black women but all women. Seriously. I hesitate to believe that your man looks anything like a celebrity, nor you. Mainly because you’re vocalizing it and just so happen to be choosing some of the better looking people in Hollywood. Truthfully, most interacial relationships I’ve seen, one or both of the partners is busted. That’s certainly not true in every instance, but to assume that your spouse’s skin color is a defining characteristic of who you are as a person says a lot about the self esteem and self respect that you obviously are lacking.

3. To all the people getting irritated with the Kim chick, you shouldn’t. What’s sad is that even if she is not being real, cause she could very well be someone trying to stir up confusion on the message boards, we’re encouraging her to continue her ignorant rants. You can’t talk sense into some people, especially when their mind is set and they really feel like they are right in their thinking. You have to let people learn from their mistakes. Truth is, even if Kim is pranking the board, there are some women out there who really think the way she does. Black men are horrible. Go to another race. Black women are ghetto. Go to another race. If you choose to date someone of another ethnicity, do so based on the fact that this person is compatible with you. Ghetto comes in all colors. Horrible comes in all colors. Sometimes it’s best to look at yourself and the people you are attracting into your life. If you’ve had one bad relationship after another, perhaps there is a standard that you are lacking. You’re attracted to what hurts you and what isn’t right for you. Happens. We all do it. We all go through it. It’s what you learn from it. Either accept it and the person you are with for who they are, flaws and all. Or change your standards and stick to it.
