Amerie looks great. And she seems to have a really nice personality. Shes not my cup of tea musically, but shes a gorgeous woman and she could go far in the fashion world. Ive always imagined her as a designer.

I think Mo’Nique made it uncomfortable for both her guests (and K’s wife). It was a “ghetto” and an immature comment-not especially flattering for a “professional” media talk show host personality, and potential Oscar nominee.

Oh Mo’Nique – that comment was awful and inappropriate!! Amerie is pretty. Nothing spectacular about that performance, which I’ve seen on several different shows. Her vocal talent is little to none, and her new album is an exercise in futility. Maybe she should re-release ‘1 Thing’ – that was lick!! Just being honest…

Yea, IMO, the length of her extensions is excessive and does nothing for the style. She already has long hair and can rock that style without the extreme length. She just needs to keep weave for fullness and she’ll be straight. (I work at her former salon in DC.)

SMH. Mo’nique is so messy, for ratings I *****ume. Amerie was just being polite she don’t want that man. It would have been rude if she just sat down and didn’t speak. Like someone said Monique has bragged about having an open marriage so who is she to talk about fidelity anyway? I’m glad to see her getting Oscar buzz though lol. Amerie’s music is an acquired taste to some I guess, but I love her style it’s dope and she doesn’t try to fit in with everybody else.

i am all for our black sistas climbing the ladder of success, but I think Monique does not know how to use her platform in a positive way. I don’t mind so much of her being loud and annoying, but it doesn’t make her look intelligent. She talks s*** about everyone from Keri Hilson to Tom Joyner, but gets mad when someone says something about her. She is full of s***, and I wish that there could be better representatives of black women on TV. I know that Monique is a smart, funny, talented, strong black women, i just want her to act like it. Show some cl*****. Stop calling people out on your show. (ex.Steve Harvey, Amerie)Its not cute. There aren’t many of us on TV, try to shed some positivity. Some white people love to see us against each other, lets not give them that satisfaction. Use your platform to show how the beauty of our people.

as a mixed asian decendant my self you made me proud, except for the fact you know that in order to go back to Korea to make a career you would have to change your image drastically, the western culture is much more relaxed than CHINA/Korea

I don’t watch BET, but tune in the other day to see Monique’s show. I was really trying to ignore the yelling, loudness, and forcing myself to laugh, but I couldn’t, because I don’t think she’s funny. The show is at night too, i took some tylenol and went to bed, after the show.

@ Sean – the only thing Amerie did right was ‘1 Thing’ and that was my jam. But this child can’t sing. She needs to let this singing thing go. That new album really is a mess. I would love to see someone else besides the usuals, but Amerie just doesn’t have it.

(Too bad SHE didn’t think she was born pretty, otherwise she wouldn’t have butchered her face. Everybody does it, but that doesn’t make it right. She looks totally different. Just my opinion…)

Amerie is a great singer…she does has a different sound and if you are from the DC area or visited you will understand that she is incorporating her background into her music. Every time you state something negative about an artist you are causing a bigger rift in our culture of R&B and Hip/Hop…we should be unity not divided. Y
