These are super rich Europeans. Why would we expect them to have the same attitudes about life that we middle classed or working class Americans do? Your upbringing and experiences inform your attitudes. The Doronin marriage sounds like one that was arranged between two high society families. It’s not at all unusual to unite two rich and prominent families through marriage and eventually live entirely separate lives. It’s for sure that the Doronins were separated long before Naomi Campbell entered the picture. The wife lives in London and the husband lives in Moscow. You can’t get more separated than that.

I very much doubt that this man told Naomi from the beginning that he was married. I’ve read lots of negative things over the years about her but never anything about her dating married men. Until now, that is. I think she actually fell in love with this man before she knew that he was married. Being Naomi Campbell and used to getting what she wants, she decided to hold onto to him anyway.

I’m not a religious person unlike a lot of the commenters on this site apparently are. This situation would not be a choice for me simply because I don’t like drama of any type. Check and know the law. Even married men bestow real estate, property and cash to their paramours while alive and in their wills. I changed dermatologists after she wore me out with how her well to do deceased husband had a 20 year affair and left his girlfriend with about 25 percent of his estate (substantial real estate and cash ), legally there was nothing she could do about when she consulted with an independent attorney and could not get it overturned in court, didn’t realize he had this affair (she was clueless) , plus she was still reeling from shock and the man had been dead for four years! I felt like a therapist and should have received free services for listening to this.

There are many things in society that seem worth my outrage but adultery has never been one of them. I am not an advocate of adultery, I’m just realistic in accepting that it happens. Marriage is a legal entity. It gives a person certain legal rights. What is doesn’t do, never has, and never will is give you lifelong rights to your spouse’s love or body. Marriage does not give you ownership of the other party. There often comes a point in a marriage when one or both parties become bored; fall out of love. Where’s the surprise in that? I’ve had relationships but I have never been interested in trying to own a man or have him thinking that he owns me. When it’s over I move on with a free heart and mind. I believe in being rational and realistic.

Because I’m a person who steers clear of drama when possible, I have no interest in married men, separated or not. But that’s my personal rule. Yet I know that life is short and happiness even more fleeting. Once a person separates from their spouse I think that they’re entitled to move on romantically/sexually as well.

As far as Naomi Campbell goes, I think she’s got big, brass balls. But then she’d have to have survived in the cutthroat modeling world for 24 years. This affair she’s having has lasted a year and a half. Who knows if it’ll last even one more day or for the rest of their lives. This won’t be Naomi’s first break-up if they do part ways. Doronin may very well remain married to his current wife for the rest of his life.

The thing is for those who say Naomi is a fool for being with this man I disagree. She seems to be in love right now. I think such an arrangement between an average woman and an average married man would be disastrous for the woman. In a good marriage you should be building something lasting, emotionally and especially financially. The average man can’t handle two households. Doronin owns several. Naomi can have the man and the babies if she wants. What she may not be able to get from Doronin is the title of Mrs. But who knows?

In the case of Naomi, she’s already rich. She doesn’t need a dime of Doronin’s money to maintain her lifestyle. If he died today the fact that his wife would get his estate doesn’t mean much in the big picture. When this relationship first began, Naomi in interviews spoke often of marriage and starting a family with her new lover. That suddenly stopped. I think that was when she found out the truth.

I think Doronin did what a lot of men do and waited until Naomi was in love before he broke the bad news. Campbell had the option to leave the relationship but of course she didn’t. I’ve never been in love like that so I can’t relate. But I can see a person choosing happiness NOW even if they know heartbreak is sure to follow. Doronin is not a billionaire by accident. I think he’s pretty shrewd and knows exactly how to handle a woman. In a way I feel sorry for Naomi. She’s never had a father and studies show that fatherless girls or girls with absent or emotionally unavailable fathers have hard time with relationships. They’re usually either very needy or reluctant to trust.

So no, I don’t applaud this relationship but neither do I condemn it. I’m pretty much a voyeur.
I was shocked that Campbell was dating a Russian. I’ve never heard anything good about Russians, even some Europeans abhor them. I’ve dated men from several continents. West Africans, North Africans, Middle Easterners, and a few Europeans, but it would never have occurred to me to have any dealings with a Russian. Frankly they frighten me. So to see fearless Naomi in a relationship with a Russian who despite his faults seems like a fun guy is fascinating. Add in the outraged wife and this is like a night time soap. Very engrossing.

I am so sick and tired of people calling women who go with married man homewreckers,H*@$,etc.If they have names what do you call the men.My pastor stated that an unstable man is unstable in his ways.He also stated that the man is the head of the household and the woman is the weaker one and should follow her husband.My pastor also said that a man should not take advantage of his wife by cheating on her,abusing her,etc.I said that to say that when a man cheats,he has broken his vows in my eyes.I feel that especially if he is disrespectful enough to have her openly in public like that.How can he love and respect his family in the first place if goes out and have another woman in the first place.The world has changed and people dont care what they do as long as they are being satisfied.In this case first of all who knows if Naomi is looking to settle with him, she may be just using him for her own satisfaction since she knows he is a cheater.They both are probably using each other.The wife on the other hand needs to get a backbone and show him her worth because maybe he has forgotten it,evidently he has.No focus should be on Naomi because when its all said and done he is going to do what he wants to and so will Naomi.If anyone ends up being hurt they knew the consuquences prior,furthermore they are adults theyll get over it and move right along with life.
