This man has been accused of stabbing a passenger to death on the D train in New York all because the passenger wouldn’t move a bag so, he could sit down. What is really wrong with people!!! Non-sense like this has got to stop…

An argument over a subway seat erupted in deadly violence early Saturday when a straphanger stabbed a stranger on a D train in Manhattan.

Cops quickly nabbed the 37-year-old suspect, thanks to a train conductor who locked the doors and kept him inside the blood-spattered car until police arrived.

The slaying happened near the 53rd St. station about 2 a.m.

The 36-year-old victim had a bag on a seat where the attacker wanted to sit. When he refused to move it, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times in the neck and face, police said.

“The doors on the train were locked and the perp couldn’t get away,” a source said. “that’s how we got him.”

The man was pronounced dead on the northbound train, where pools of blood were left along the length of the first car.

The name of the victim and his accused killer have not been released.

This guy is crazy. He should’ve just went about his business.

When keepin’ it real goes wrong!!

  • LOLOL

Murder is a sin, but how hard is it to move a bag?

You know in general, how hard is it to oepn the door for a stranger,

how hard is it to move out of the way of a stranger appearing to come in your direction,

how hard is it to line up in order,

how hard is it to get up for someone older than you or a woman?

Not that hard, and could be life saving and teach others a valuable lesson of politeness in the end for free!

  • Syxxif.u.x

The conductor locked the door? Where there other people in that section of the train? If there weren’t….then job well done to the conductor……If there were other passengers in that section….then that conductor better be happy and thankful to God that this idiot didn’t attact someone else.

  • T-BREEZY

Well, it as a violation to sit your bags in the seats. They give you tickets for that mess nowadays, but he didn’t have to stab him. Crazy folks…smh.

  • Ms.EJ

@LOLOLO- Excellent points and NO it is not hard at all, but it seems that this generation or my generation do not care about no one other than themselves. Fortunately, the times that I have taken the train or bus older men not the young along with myself have gotten up to give a seat to either a pregnant, disabled or elderly person. Now, combine that with the terrible economy many are ticking time bombs. Its a shame that many people do not value or have a decent respect for human life.

  • instantgratitude

Makes me wonder as LOLOL did, why didn’t the passenger just move the bag? Then I see this happened at 2am in the morning. How crowded could it be, even in NYC at 2am, maybe the clubs were letting out? But I bet that man had plenty of other places to sit. So, either way he was a crazy, ticking time bomb waiting to explode…

  • G

My thing is this: Were there other seats in the train, or was the train packed with no other seats? At 2 in the morning? I need to know.

If there were no other seats, then victim man could have moved his bag. If seats were everywhere, and mr. stab em up just wanted to sit next to mr. victim man, then Houston, we have a problem.

I am from NYC, and folk come at you like that. Again, my thing is were there other seats, or was the train crowded… at 2 in the morning?

    Holla

  • Ms.EJ

Regardless if the victim moved his bag or not is not the issue their is no justification to kill someone (unless defending your life or familes life) point blank period. Why try to rationalize someone being killed over a bag? a life is worth a bag? NO. Clearly, the man was already mentally unstable and maybe was just looking for someone to release his frustrations out on. No one you, me, my mother your mother whoever should not be killed if they refused to do something for a strange that most would find to be courteous.

  • http://bossip Playalisticalidocious

HOLD UP!!!! The conductor locked the doors? Were there other people in the car with the killer? You can’t just lock the doors and trap innocent passengers with a guy that is willing to kill. SMH.

  • DC

@Playalisticalidocious Yes. My roommate was locked in the car with the other passengers–and the killer.

  • BRONX

STUPID SPI C! LOOK AT THOSE DUMBO EARS!!!!

  • BangingRiddum

I agree with the killer. The guy was being an a**hole for not moving his bag, well there you have it motherf**ker.

  • Sav

I’m from New York… and I think it’s safe to say that at 2-am at the 53rd street stop on the “D” train, it was not overly packed… For those who was on the train probably ran off during the commotion at the next stop. Because if they had been locked in… the report would read “several angry passengers are up in arms as they were left trapped in a blood bath Subway Car with a crazed killer” …this killing is not justified, not over a seat.
I AM MORE INTERESTED IN KNOWING IF HE HAS KILLED BEFORE????

  • Native New Yorker

He should’ve moved his bag. Everyone wants to be all “Rah-Rah” and it gets you nowhere. 85% of New Yorkers are crazy.

  • WHAT!!!!!!!

All this killing is getting out of hand!! Make you want to just stay home and play dominoes!!!

  • EleKtrik EccEntriK (RIP Shaniyah Davis, Innocence Lost)

@ 2 a.m. I guess he didn’t want to sit in the seat with the homeless pee in it lol
Nah but he shouldn’t stab up dude for that reason. Silly Sick F*ckin Rabbit.
And that conductor was out for self. He should’ve gotten stabbed on default for putting other people’s lives in danger.

  • memchee

the killer must have some kinda mental problem.

  • EleKtrik EccEntriK (RIP Shaniyah Davis, Innocence Lost)

    sorry, by default.

  • On the real…

Do away with him… take him to the guillotine. Oh, we don’t use those anymore huh– b’cuz we should. No more prisons/prisoners… let’s get it over with.

  • Trelawny

@ BRONX, “big ears” aint a common trait with spanish people. try another ethnic group — you raw!!!! with your slack lingo

  • LOLOL

I would also like to add, how hard is it not to carry a knife!

  • http://nautysgirl@yahoo.com bklynlady

THAT ISH IS CRAZY BECAUSE THE SUBWAY AT 2 A.M ISN’T EVEN CROWDED!!!!!!!! HARDLY ANYONE IS ON THE SUBWAY DURING THOSE HOURS! THIS MAN IS JUST A SICK NUT!

  • http://nautysgirl@yahoo.com bklynlady

THEREFORE, THERE HAD TO HAD BEEN PLENTY OF SEATS TO WHERE THIS MAN COULD HAVE SAT ANYWHERE….. WHICH WAS MY POINT.

  • http://nautysgirl@yahoo.com bklynlady

    @Sav

I’m from New York… and I think it’s safe to say that at 2-am at the 53rd street stop on the “D” train, it was not overly packed… For those who was on the train probably ran off during the commotion at the next stop. • COMBATCOOK24

He had issues out the gate… Aint no crowded train at 2am on 53rd st in Midtown…. I take that D train to the Bronx a lot… Very unfortunate incident..

  • divina luz

It’s f***ed up, thats fo sure, but it doesnt surprise me….I used to work in a café, and I left because a boy threw his coffee at me,saying he wanted it done differently, ( actually , he said “give me a normal coffee, b*****” and then spat on me cos I refused to help him further.Boss had stepped out for a minute,so he didn’t see what actually happened, but he didn’t defend me, cos times are hard , and he wants to keep what few customers he still has.
I will not work with the general public any more, I now work looking after handicapped people at a private complex. Muthas are too crazy, and I got a 15 year old who needs me alive!
This kid threatened to “break all the teeth out my mouth”after closing that day, so I left, filed a police report, and never been back!

  • divina luz

    @ Kalie21,
    Pots, kettles?
The crazy bit, not the aids, we won’t dignify THAT with a response, sheesh…..

  • divina luz

Oh, and one more thing, I have picked people’s bag up my dam self and moved it, if they won’t do it after I have asked.
Dude should have done that , and if there was nowhere else to put it, he could have hung it on one of his ears….

  • Kool Breeze

OMG.. the guy with the bag should darn well know that in a place like nyc you don’t squabble with strangers over a daggone seat. A small slight like this would set off most deranged individuals.

  • Me Nuh Ramp

LOL @KALIE21 you might be the only person on the thread who believes he is “spanish”

  • Get Real

why don’t I feel sorry for the victim?

  • STFU

The D train does stay packed at all times of the night and is no dirtier or older than the A, C, or any other NYC train line. But weather it was packed or not is not the issue here, someone lost their life over a seat!! Whats next, people loosing their lives for standing in the doorway?? Swift, harsh, and brutal legal action should be immediately taken against this murderer.

  • dia

were their other people in the car? cuz that would have been horrible to be locked in their with a dead body and a murderer. HE needs help also.. becasue he knows good and well he could have stood and or just asked again or moved the bag himself.. no need to kill someone

  • LOLOL

Amazing the dude looks Hispanic and carries s a hispanic surname, SANCHEZ!

    Go read the source

  • mo

i totally agree with the comments that the victim should have just moved his bag to avoid conflict, but in all honesty-i take that train everyday and it is never THAT packed at 2am–im sure there must have been other available seats ESPECIALLY if the conductor was willing to lock the attacker in the car. I just think this guy was looking to start something and the victim was probably just trying to get somewhere. this is a very sad & disturbing story.

  • Me Nuh Ramp

@ LOLOL just because a person has a spanish name don’t make them spanish. there are alot of people with spanish names who don’t originate from Spain.

  • KeepNit2Real

New York dudes be on some murder murder for bs reasons

  • deesac

Well its time for the DEATH PENALTY to rear its ugly head again if you ask me.

  • Nathaniel’s Mommy

@Ms EJ..you are so right “people are ticking time bombs”

What is this world coming to?
Just yesterday on the #6, a guy dropped his bag on the seat next to me, started yawing and just acting wierd..I smiply got up and gave him his space. You just got to let crazy be crazy.

  • Nathaniel’s Mommy

**sorry** quoted from Instant Gratitude..:-) don’t stab me..

  • azzho should have stood up

I hope that muthfkr gets the death penalty fkn loser

  • MsLyn

…or maybe, just maybe, the victim recognized the stabber as ‘trouble’ from the word GO… and he chose to keep the bag in the seat to avoid the drama. Sort of a defense mechanism, if you will. Maybe he was actually afraid to have that nut sitting that close to him so he used the bag hoping it would seperate him from the crazy… Had it been me, I would’ve simply gotten up and given him BOTH seats. SMH

  • Yoda

The only thing I liked about the D train was that animation thing they had, I forgot which stop, and Coney Island, strictly driving for me know. I’m not as crazy as I used to be when I was younger.

  • A Real Black Man

brilliant, throw your life away because u can’t sit down? I mean for real, i am from new york city and tempers in general go from 0-200mph+ in a blink of an eye, but please….if u look at dudes eyes he doesn’t look mentally stable. lots of crazy folks running around nyc streets, stay focused!

  • SMH

See what happens when you give your seat to a bag instead of a person, train etiquette is in order.

  • Lakeshow

It is irritating when you get on the D or L or a bus and some fool has his bags in the only available seat or his legs stretched out so you cannot sit down and then he refuses to move them (this is normally descriptive of young thuggish negroes) Kinda makes you want to stab him in the neck, eh

  • krakatoa

If the train was more empty than full then it’s probably a completely unprovoked attack. Only nutcases prefer to sit right next to another passenger.

  • Seriously?!

The trains at 2am are not crowded and seats are abundant at that time. Hell, clubs don’t let out until 4am. The D train does get a little crowded at the 59th St. stop since it does go express uptown, but they hadn’t even gotten to that stop yet. The guy that refused to move his bag probably figured that since there were many seats available: 1. go find another seat, 2. why you want to sit up under me when you can find a 2 seater or 3 seater all to yourself? Either way, if someone asks you to move your bag on a non-crowded bus or train, get up and move yourself and all of your things b/c that person is bonafide crazy and unfortunately, this man lost his life.

  • http://www.translatorchicago.org Chicago Interpreter

Authorities should add more security. There are trains in Asia that has two to three securities roaming inside the train. In every stop, they exchange posts. And then before a passenger can enter the train station, there are staff checking their things for security purposes.

  • Azeron

There are lessons to be learned here:

    A. Stay the kcuf out of NYC!
    B. If someone wants my seat, get up and stand as far away from that motherkcufer as possible.

  • Jess

@This guy is crazy. He should’ve just went about his business.

When keepin’ it real goes wrong!!
    _____________________________________________
Totally agree!! Bet him n his realness wasnt ready for that!! Somtimes its better to be aware of ur surroundings and know that anything is possible in this world good or bad! Even if ur death is the result of you not moving your bag so a person can sit on the empty seat next to you on a train. SMFH!

  • Moe

I’m a new yorker and people bring their worst attitudes on the trains. I know it’s wrong but I can understand why the guy is dead. You never know what a person is going through… especially now. He could have remove his bag and been alive today. Messing with folks is not the business today cause people dealing with real serious $hit and don’t have space for your attitudes. Sorry he’s dead though.

  • Brooknon Babee

I’m from Brooklyn grew up on the D line and I know for a fact that there are plentyyyyy of seats at 2am. Dude asked him to move his bag the victim looked at him like he was buggin! Cause on the real WHO ASKS THAT ON AN EMPTY TRAIN! Its unfortunate a life was lost because of it. Yoda you are talking about going thru the tunnel leaving Dekalb Ave! I used to love that animation then they had to go fk it up with grafitti!

  • Rrrrroe Ski Love- A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I refuse to get upset while driving or commuting. Mofo’s out here don’t have nothing to live for. I like my happyness:)

  • Carl Eugene

OK am I reading some of the comments correctly, are some of you justifying the stabing because the guy refuse to move a bag, well that makes a lot of sence I guess. So now we can go around killing every Newyorker thats rude and with attitudes so that can send a message of change for people to keep it real and be nicer right, Well thats gonna be alot of killing a people dead LOL Half if not all of NY population. I wonder how many seats are taken on a Sat. at 2AM in a D train. well keep on killing so people could be nicer a more polite. Jack@sses

  • Black Male

Or is it just some people are just fed up with being treated like crap. The man was asked to move the bag. Why not sit the bag on your lap or put it at your feet to make room for other passenger. I think there are only a few reasons that would make me take someone’s life, for instance physically hurting one of my children, etc. Just respect others and things like this won’t happen.
