I have so much respect for this woman’s talent but her taste in clothes has always been terrible. Even at her size there are formal clothes that would make her look so much better. She needs a good supportive bra and some sleeves. She’s an attractive woman but she desperately needs a stylist.

i would love to see what she eats on any given day. i’m thinking breakfast is a quart of orange juice, a loaf of bread, a pack of bacon and a dozen eggs. Lunch is a whole fried chicken and fries and a diet coke. Dessert is a whole cheesecake. Dinner is 2 double whoppers with cheese, onion rings and a milkshake. And not the kind that brings the boys to the yard. SMH.

Man Aretha, folks adore you, including me but why you don’t wear something different is beyond me. I guess she is going to shove it down our throats. She doesn’t care what folks say or think obviously. I’m not so sure I will at that age and with that kind of money. Shoot, I think I’d still be trying to look nice and neat.

Seriously, just because one is Queen of Soul does not mean that you should take your health forgranted. I understand that she is older and probably set in her way, but someone needs to seriously intervene and help her loose weight which is clearly alot of pressure on and around her heart. She is passed being a grown woman and definitely knows that she should not dress in such a way regardless of her status.

@SANJOR- *waves* Hey Ms.Lady you are probably right and I know some people are saying (which everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion all love here w/me)that she can do what she wants, because she is the Queen, but to me that makes no sense how does being a Queen make it okay to put your health at risk? I definitely would not want to have friends who are more focused on me being the Queen than my health so that I can have longevity(sp)in life for my kids and grandkids etc.

She is amazing, but she is really testing the power of gravity. I hope those dress straps are super reinforced.

Her grey outfit and hat were appropriate when she performed at the Obama Inauguration this year. Somebody got to her (White House staffers/inauguration event planners?)and she followed protocol and respected the occasion enough to fall into line. I was holding my breath when she was announced and was sighed with relief. Thank goodness she didn’t perform in a revealing outfit even with the cold weather.

One of the last few times I saw pics of Aretha I felt so proud – she was actually looking decent, as if someone had taken responsibility for choosing her outfit. The fact that she looks exceptionally unattractive so much of the time is not because she’s an unattractive woman – the right wardrobe has proven that but she seems destined to wear things that would be best suited to someone with a much small bust and arms. I’m always squinting when anticipating seeing her – because I know that the chances of her presenting herself in a more positive light is practically nil.
