You can’t be serious at calling Jay-Z the new Sinatra, can you? Just the brother threw on a tux? I’m all for recognizing swagger, but that’s a little overboard.
If I threw on a ball gown, that wouldn’t exactly make me the new Diana Ross. Just sayin’.
The performance was great, but did it seem like jay was kinda in a daze, missing his wife beyonce perhaps. Mary’s,Rihanna,Kelly Carkson performance was good also. Why didn’t jay accept his wife’s award?

A lot of great performances but this was by far the best performance of the night! Had everyone standing for it to! Jay was looking dapper & Alicia well she was looking to damn fine & sexy as usual! Can’t even really put into words how great she looked & usually always looks! Swizz definitely won lucky ***** lol!

The music industry has certainly changed-for the women that is. There’s a huge double standard. For the women it’s ALL about the looks. Alicia Keys is very talented, but with her looks she doesn’t HAVE to be. Her talent is a bonus. The men on the other hand can look barely human, like a flatulent camel even, and still attain stardom.

Rocnation, you’re incoherent and practically illiterate. If you’re angered by my comment I’m not saying that The Camel has no talent. I’m just saying that I can’t think of one woman with looks on par with his that would be allowed front and center in the music business.
I see a lot of session singers and back-up singers with extraordinary voices who aren’t allowed to pursue solo careers because they don’t have the right look. As a music lover I think that’s a shame. I just wish women were allowed to be as ugly as most of the men in music are and still achieve stardom.
