A North Carolina man will never see the light of day again after being found guilty of scaring a 79-year old grandmother to death. Continue…

  • dsgsgg

    Meh………

  • Silent Swagg

he looks like the guy that killed the five year old.
    wonder if their related?lol

  • BettyBoop

Damn homie guess we all can’t be ashton cuthcher

  • Aunt Viv

So ridiculous…and he does look like Shaniya Davis’s alleged kidnapper/killer. SMH.

  • http://bossip.com This some Shhh….

Knew that was coming. She could have already been dead and he would have gotten charged.

  • KeepNit2Real

Dude could have just stood still by her moosehead and bear rug…she would have never known the difference.

  • Alrighty Then…

Needless to say, she wouldn’t be dead if it weren’t for his actions, so it’s fitting. Dumb a$$…

  • Nique

    @Alright Then…

I agree. His actions are what caused this woman to die. Another one off the streets….

    Society +3!

  • Blu Rain

I know of murders who didn’t get Life sentences…not excusing him, but c’mon son! Life?!?!? Because a Negro was in her crib? Really?

  • http://deleted Simone

    Damn.
That Was Not A Smart Move.
    Life?! Oh My…

  • Really

So are we supposed to feel sorry for this fool?

  • Gmen

my black ppl pls stop it be so dumbest

  • Str8 Truth

He shouldn’t have been breaking into homes. He caused a death due to his criminal activity. What did you expect to happen?

  • Redemption

Everything happens for a reason. I too have done some stupid things that, there but by the grace of God, I was blessed enough to have survived and not get hung up like this youngster. But unfortunately that woman died and now he has to serve time for that.

Hopefully, somebody read this and will think twice before running up in somebody’s house looking for loot.

  • STEFANY

According to prosecutors for the case, Whitfield was looking for a place to hide after a robbery and broke into Parnell’s home causing her to have a heart attack. While he never touched the grandmother, he did cause the heart trauma and never called for help.
    **************************************************
    He got what he deserve!

  • Gimmeabreak78

    What an idiot.

  • Red

I thought he was hiding from the police?
Anyway, dude could have at least called 911 for the lady! Another young life wasted. But for the Grace of God, there go I.

  • LET MESAYSOMETHING

Now Yall know that old white women are scared of young black men anyway. So although it is bad that the old girl had a heart attack I think the sentence is to severe!!1

  • Marquis de Sade

This is a case of Involuntary Manslaughter + Kidnapping. The sentence is just.

  • Marquis de Sade

    LET MESAYSOMETHING

That’s a silly assessment. I’m sure if a strange person breaks into anyone’s place, in all probability it’ll scare the holy bejezus out of them…Especially an Octogenarian. Race has nothing to do with it.

  • Wenzel Dashington (aka Mr. Sterling Cooper)

If he called for help, he would have got caught. duh!

  • Blu Rain

    911: What’s your emergency?
Ol’ boi: I just robbed a store and was hidding from the cops.
    911: yes, go on
Ol’ boi: I broke in here to hide and I just scared this white lady to death.

Really? He should have called somebody?!?!? GTFOOH! He got life for, kidnapping, not murder assuming that there wasn’t enough evidence to prove it. So, they charged him w/kidnapping instead of breaking and entering (which is what he did). When real kidnappers (Elizabeth Smart’s, for instance) got 15 years, and they REALLY Kidnapped. WTF! And we have the audacity to saw he got what he deserved? I pray that non of you fall on hard times and make a mistake (that can cause you to spend your life behind bars).

  • pynk

    Peace! Dumba.s.s… Smh.

  • Tygire

Have fun in prison you dummy. I hope you never get out.

  • facefacts

someone pls tell me why black people continue to do foolish things knowing damn well uR considered guilty and have to be proven innocent which at times requires DNA testing decades later…was the sentence fair HELL NO IT NEVER IS BUT HE THOUGHT IT WAS WORTH HIS LIFE ANYWAY…DUMB A$$! MAYBE HE’LL FIND JESUS IN JAIL..

  • LET MESAYSOMETHING

I stand by what I said!!!

  • Man, I just don’t care™

This woman was 79 years old and died of heart attack! How the hell can he be responsible for HER BAD HEART?????

He must of had a TERRIBLE lawyer. He didn’t TELL HER to have a heart attack. SHE chose to have a bad heart.

    SMH.

  • always knew

I don’t think the sentence was fair, not that I am condoning what was done… But then again, he should get some serious time for kidnapping, etc..

  • Marquis de Sade

    “Man, I just don’t care™

LOL! If you came into a courtroom with that defense, the judge would probably throw your a$$ out the courtroom and report you to the Bar A$$ociation.

    ___________________________________________________________

You mean to tell me he couldn’t argue “reasonalbe doubt” about the heart attack of a 79 yr old woman????????????????

    GTFOH.

A doctor could only give an “APPROXIMATION” as to the time of the heart attack anyway. For all we know that woman could of been dead before he “broke in.”

  • Man, I just don’t care™

    @BLAH
“are you serious? if he didnt break into her house she wouldnt of had that heart attact it doesnt matter if he was 99.9 yrs old..hes caused her to die think about if it was ur grandmother you wouldnt cut this ***** ne slack”
    ______________________________________________________________

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Let’s take a look at this. He’s a YOUNG BLACK MAN, she’s an OLD WHITE WOMAN that died of an heart attack.

HOW CAN YOU PROVE HIS ACTIONS CAUSED HER HEART ATTACK WHEN SHE HAS ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE ALREADY! Please, these were some trumped up charges that often occurs against the poor and minorities.

    SMH at naive people.

  • http://perryone779@yahoo,com rose by any other name #9304026339482056536 ™

    Hi Marquis~! Kisses!!!

  • mydixiewrecked

    @ Man, I just don’t care™

trumped up or not the lil’ bama did it… next!

  • Rrrrroe Ski Love- A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

If Grandma was to live another 20 years she would have been 99 years old. He should have been sentenced to 20 years in prison, Justice would be served because the victim would have lived maybe for another 20 years with good healthcare and no mishaps. He must serve some jail time for contributing to her death, but life in prison is a little harsh, when her death was not due to him directly. In other words her heart could have been weak long before said occurence.

  • http://myspace.com/870bg Bg(~007~)

    @ mydixiewrecked
That gravie is hilarious… Ole Otis!!!

  • Marquis de Sade

    Man, I just don’t care™

Uhhh, he broke into her “HOUSE”, while trying to avoid arrest. He’s lucky they couldn’t prove “INTENT”…In that case, it could’ve resulted in the death penalty (if N.C. has one). Kidnapping alone is a federal offense, which results in 20 to life….And i’m sure this dude has priors, so his incarceration is no big loss to humanity.

  • Moreaces

When people start to take full responsibility for their lives, and not trying to take the easy way out by engageing in criminal activity, then maybe the number of brothers in prison would go down a whole lot. Until then, black men and women will be behind bars. Dont do the crime……..

  • Marquis de Sade

    Hi Rose.

  • Candy

please a white guy would of never gotten that sentence…I’m not saying he should get off scott free but life…damn!

  • Man, I just don’t care™

Let’s see, a 79 yr old white woman dies of heart attack and a black convicted felon is found in her house.

How can he even be charged with kidnapping when the body was found in her own home?????? She couldn’t of given a statement saying so when she was dead.

The fact is they can’t PROVE that his actions caused a heart attack. And there is NO WAY that a lawyer couldn’t of argued reasonable doubt. This is ridiculous and a waste of tax payer money.

  • Marquis de Sade

    Man, I just don’t care™

Yeah, but by your logic, it can’t be proven that his intrusion didn’t cause her heart attack, either…But what can be proven is he did break into her house. The law of probabilities does not fall into his favor.

  • Marquis de Sade

Oh well, it’s been stimulatin’. Off to work.

  • Man, I just don’t care™

“Yeah, but by your logic, it can’t be proven that his intrusion didn’t cause her heart attack, either…But what can be proven is he did break into her house. The law of probabilities does not fall into his favor.”
    __________________________________________________________

My argument doesn’t need to prove one way or another. Just that there is enough reasonable doubt that no one can say for sure that he is directly responsbile.

Which is OBVIOUSLY the case in this scenario. SMH at the lattitude given to prosecutors. Something should be done about this.

Oh well, the tax payers will have to support a 20 something and physically able man because of the ignorance of a prosecutor (that they also support). The laughs on them.

  • Tough Love

People should learn the laws and know what they’re up against before they go breaking them. Each state has it’s own set of laws that may not make sense to the rest of the country. But as long as you’re in that state you’re governed by their laws. I don’t feel sorry this fool. Most states have these strict laws as a deterrent and method of prevention. But these dumb azz criminals always try to beat the odds and end up walking directly into these extreme situatuions. Good for him.

  • Creole Consigliere

Is this post supposed to elicit sympathy for this degenerate??? Please spare us!

It’s really simple. It’s called “felony murder.” Home invasion, i.e. breaking into a home while the owner is there, is a felony. If someone dies during the commission of a felony, for ANY reason, including if God decides to call that soul home at that moment and the person would have died even if the felony hadn’t occurred, then it is felony murder.

The law is there to strongly discourage the committing of felonies by making the punishment extreme. If one is going to be brazen enough to act in such disregard to others, they deserve whatever consequences they have EARNED.

  • Alrighty Then…

“they did find him guilty of causing her death by kidnapping her, and that carries an automatic life sentence.”

It’s the law. To dam bad for him. Like Tough Love said, people should KNOW THE LAW before you go breaking them. Serves him right.

LOL. People are so naive. These laws weren’t created to discourage crime. HA HA HA HA. Laws like this, and the death penalty and so on have been PROVEN not to discourage crime.

Laws like this were created to pacify the ignorant public into feeling like criminals are being punished as opposed to having crime PREVENTED. If people realized ignorance like this only creates more criminals and increases tax debt… **sigh**

Politicians have another victory over the ignorant public. SMH.

All I have to say is WOW…

THANK YOU CREOLE! Some of these posters arguments are so asinine that it defies comprehension: if this fool had broken in, robbed the house and set it on fire, with her asleep in the room and unable to get out, they’d probably say, ‘WELL IT’S HER FAULT FOR NOT GETTING TO THE DOOR FAST ENOUGH, IT’S NOT HIS FAULT SHE WAS A SENIOR CITIZEN!’ GTFOH!!!

  • kisses

Poor lady, I can’t even imagine the horror she felt. Im so tired of seeing these ignorant animals on TV…This is one of the reason some people from other races look at us the way they do. This idiot also looks like the monster that is in custody for kidnapping and asphyxiating SHANIY DAVIS.

  • Unimaginative_Trolls_get_your_own_screen_name

Like the old blues men used to say:

“you pays yo’ money, and you takes yo’ chances”.

This “fumb duck” will have a LOOOOOOOONG time to think about the consequences of his actions ….

I’m sick and tired of ni—s thinking every other black person in america is supposed to consign on his “shumb dit” —- hellllll to the NO.

If you INSIST to others that you are as GOOD as anybody else in society, then ACT like it, or pay the price.

    PERIOD.

  • Andromaches

I feel no sympathy for this criminal. The break-in triggered her heart attack. Plain and simple. When the victim dies during the commission of a crime the perpertrator is going to jail. Fair enough!

For those saying that the sentence is excessive due to his race you’re probably right. Knowing that blacks generally get harsher sentences for the same crimes others commit should be a deterrent. I’d like to have material goods and money that I didn’t earn too, but my fear of prison is stronger than my greed.

No sympathy for thieving idiots from me.

  • emma

forget the heart attack!! the dude didnt even help at all during the poor woman’s heart attack! it only takes three number to save someone’s life. even if she didnt make after he had called for help, at least the damn fool tried. what a foool!

  • Darkesthourgla ss

I have no sympathy for him getting life. Just one crime after another. He should’ve thought about that before he broke into ole girl’s house and faced the music. His family must be proud of him.
