Fat kids in college are being asked to lose weight by Lincoln University before they graduate:

“Lose weight to graduate” is the mantra that administrators at Lincoln University are shouting to undergraduate students that are on the cusp of receiving their degrees… Continue

I think that’s a good thing, people are way too big these days and aren’t doing anything about it, and I don’t think they realize how badly it can affect their health

  • drenk

GOOD! Im so glad, more colleges should do this. Fat kids grow into fat adults and then act surprised when they get diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease by 28, its disgusting. AND PLEASE BUY 2 SEATS ON AIRPLANE IF YOUR TOO BIG TO FIT IN 1!!

  • goody_MOBB

fat kids rule…the fudge being big got to do with anything, some people is just extra big boned, so they gets a pass

Lmao at the ”get well” tag. They are not sick, but lazy.

And a student who is seriously overweight will have a much bigger problem with graduating anyway, because obesity does effect you mentally.

Get healthy big people, you can do it!

  • Aunt Viv

I think it’s commendable that they’re making their students as prepared for the future as possible.

  • KeepNit2Real

that pic got me ROTFLMEAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFF!!! ahahahahaha!!!!!

  • Denyse

Guess what? They should do this everywhere…At your job, at your church at any and every organization that you may be part of!!

Obesity affects the whole country, it’s time we as a country do something about it.

  • drenk

    @ Denyse

AGREE 100%, i wish i could take an exercise break at work, might help me stay focused

    Okay…
    Come On Now…
If You Big You Big, If You Skinny You Skinny.
I Don’t Think Being Skinny Should Be A Requirement To Graduate…
Lets Be SeriOUs. I Mean I Know Obesity Is Definitely An Issue, But Really?!

    @drenk

One of my co-workers suggested that the company bring in treadmills and put them in the middle of the aisles!

  • LovelyLisa

While I understand their desire to promote healthly lifestyles, Lincoln University is setting itself up for major legal headaches.

lol…I still have that cd mega-single with this fat boy’s pic….ahahahaha!

  • monique

Interesting. I find it amazing that it would be hard to be obese at this age. I couldn’t keep weight on during college. All of the running around actually made me emaciated and skinny. I was so busy I forgot to eat. I wish I could go back to living at college, just for this fact. Being back home made me gain twenty pounds.

  • The Official Mrs. Carter

I know some big people who are in better shape than some smaller framed people. I dont think it should be a requirment to graduate…I do think that its a clas*s they should offer to ALL students or make it a part of the curriculum but I dont think you should have to step on a scale to be offered a healthier lifestyle…applaud the effort but dont think much thought or planning was put into the idea.

  • Caligirl

That’s Awful. Obese People Already Have Low Self Esteem. Im From Cali (screen name) & We’re Health Nuts Out Here. Yeah There’s That Obese Kid Here Too But The Majority Are Healthy. But This Is Sad

  • KeepNit2Real

Monique, without bread, your colon goes rotten. What you SHOULD have said was no enriched bread. that stuff is nothing but glue in your body.

Whole grain breads are excellent for you…no matter what your color is.

  • goody_MOBB

    Is that Benny Hill?

  • LovelyLisa

I don’t know how anybody could gain weight in college. Instead of gaining the “Freshman 15″ I lost at least 30 lbs. Cafeteria food was awful, and eating out was a luxury. It must be something else going on.

“AND PLEASE BUY 2 SEATS ON AIRPLANE IF YOUR TOO BIG TO FIT IN 1!!”

That rule needs to apply to men of any size. I don’t know why but if a man is sitting next to a woman he thinks he’s entitled to some of her space. I’m a tall woman with long legs and thighs. I need all of my space. I hate when guys spread their legs a mile wide encroaching onto my seat and foot space. Or try to take my arm rest. I don’t cut for that. Even if I was tiny I wouldn’t tolerate it.

  • rainbowrabbit

I am personally against this. No school should have a say in what someone does with their body. I can understand them wanting to help people, but this is NOT the way to go. And threatening to withhold a student’s diploma just because they don’t fit society’s standards of an appropriate appearance sounds pretty illegal to me.

  • Fine Babe

Kudos to Lincoln University for taking the initiative to put the health requirement into the curriculum. It’s for these students own good. Obesity is becoming an epidemic. Honestly, we got to start somewhere. Why not at school? Hopefully more schools follow suit.

  • ray

That kid looks like perez hilton

  • http://tomorriscat.ecrater.com/ ceebee

Unreal. The rules/requirements should be for everyone. Not for a specific class or target. That’s discrimination.

Schools in general are just a joke and a waste of money. Schools are nothing but broken promises and dreams. They teach people nothing of real value. The only thing schools teach is how to be subservient under a “one world government”. No free thinking, no creativity, no independence in schools.

Better off using the internet for learning and education. You learn a lot more than being inside the box. A degree/diploma is nothing but a piece of paper.
