All I have to say is, he should be glad he’s not “black”. There would have been an “uproar” over the “indecency” of it all. I didn’t watch this show (I’ve ALWAYS hated awards shows, since I was a kid.) It’s unfortunate that a parent can’t feel confident leaving their kid to watch “regular” television w/o supervision. I see now that when I have children, I’m going to have to leave the t.v. OFF, except for videos/programming that I select BEFOREHAND. Today’s “culture” is too “morally irresponsible” for me.

I love Adam Lambert. I love the fact at he is not ashamed of who he is and is not going to let other people’s opinions of homosexuals stop him from being himself. I love the fact that he threw his homosexuality in all the haters face last night at the AMA’s. And finally I love the fact that above all else he is an excellent singer. He should never be ashamed of who he is nor should anyone else. I think he’s hot and hope he continues to be unapologetic and goes on the do great thing. But just to add to Janae said, I do agree that if he was black the uproar about his performance would have been much worse.

I think if this show had been on a cable station it wouldn’t have been a problem, but this is national television and some sort of decorum should be practiced when children are watching. It wasn’t cool.

Adam’s performance. You say cable would be o.k. but not regular television…Have you not watched Brothers And Sisters? I loved the performance and thought it was refreshing to see a new star express himself his way.It was true Adam and I say like it or not go ADAM way to rock!!!!!

I love Adam…half of the songs on the radio and t.v. are not children-appropriate songs; thus a music awards show should not be watched by children. His performance was meant to shock people and shed light on a double standard. I wonder how many parents were offended by Adam’s sexuality and NOT his performance, while their children are listening to violent rap lyrics and watching adult-themed programs??

Yes his performance was raunchy and a bit much for a national telecast, but I think people are more concerned because of his sexuality. It’s a ridiculous double standard. Females have been doing these types of performances forever. There wouldn’t be an uproar if this was a Britney Spears performance. The intolerance that still exists today’s society is extremely disheartening.

His only point was to rub the viewers’ faces into everything that he KNEW was taboo. He was grabbing crotches, getting his crotch grabbed, rubbing faces into his crotch, kissing boys…I mean, when you intentionally do things that you know are going to upset people, don’t get upset that people are upset. Yes, the uproar is warranted and that’s what he wanted.

I understand what you mean. However, if America must censor Adam, then America must censor ALL! It is discrimination at its best. That is problematic for me. At the time of Adam’s performance (in my time zone CST), it was appropriate for t.v.. Considering the content on television at 10pm. Parents should censor what their children watch, not the artist. I personally am not a fan some genres of music and some artists. So if we must condemn Adam, let us not stop there!

he’s too talented for all that! why do ppl think they need to pull stunts for publicity? If you have talent you don’t need all that extra stuff!!! We know his orientation and most ppl would still support him for his talent alone. Fans feel manipulated when artists just do stuff for the sake of controversy…he didn’t have a statement to make he’s just tryin to hype his cd..but this is not the way to do it. it drives off more fans than it will win.

okay where’s the FCC now! When Ms. Janet popped a boob on national tv she was tried and convicted all in one night. tv station delays and everything was set in place. the world has been nourished by the boob, babies have survived on the boob, where in the world is it un-natural to see something as natural and nourishing as a breast and beautiful black womans breast. Janet Jackson was tried and convicted all in one night over exposing her God giving beauty. But this defiled satanic worshiper exposed my 7 yr old to something that as utterly disgusting and i do not think he should slapped on the back of the hand and get by with it. of course that’s whats going to happen because thats the type of world we live in. where that type of filth is accepted on national television.
I think behind all of this Luther Campbell (Uncle Luke), Janet Jackson, and all those that feel like they were wrongly accused for display of what they deem as natural sexual behavior should be apologized to.

my daughter was totally shocked, i was shocked and disgusted and i think he should be banned from all tv, satellite, etc.

God is against these things and so am i, and who am i? i’m a woman, a daughter, a mother, a sister, and most of all a child of God.

Adam’s performance was ok and the kiss didn’t phase me. There will always be someone with bible quotes telling others how to live, the question is are you living what you are preaching.
Then there is the “moral issue”. Having children out of wedlock is a sin..so is having sex outside of marriage…But are you checking that part of the bible for those sins. Get off your high horse and clean your side of the street before checking Adam, Madonna, Britney, Janet or any of the other artists that you wouldn’t let your “out of wedlock children” watch.
