She was joking. Anyway, it was definately the best recovery in history because most people didn’t even notice it until it was posted all over the web the next day. Even as I watched the awards I said, “Did she fall?” She got up so fast and kept it moving that I wasn’t sure. But I kept thinking that couldn’t be a part of the routine. Anyway, very professional.

I was done with J. Lo back when she was on 106 & Park and only recognized Latino artists when she was asked about her musical influences. Are you kidding me? She was singing all R & B music. You mean the only people she could think of was Fat Joe and Big Pun? What about Ja Rule, LL, and all the black music she sampled?

But that’s what they do… They seduce tha bruthas in by the urban look, the hip hop music, and the black boyfriends… Then, once they catch your attention, you start blogging, fantasizing, talking about them in the barber shops… Then you start buying the music–no matter how talentless or cornball it is. Then, before you know it, you got these rich non-white women making music videos, buying multi-million dollar houses, taking extravagant vacations–all while you’re caught up in the bathroom jacking off to an image.

Instead of blending in with the rest of the beautiful, Latina women, J. Lo wants to be the stand-out white light in the black videos. Her people know that bruthas run over to stand in the “jock” line.

The formula = Get a black boyfriend, buy the rights to some tracks from an old R & B son, warm up to a popular rapper, be seen in some hip hop gear, make an urban video. Now you got ‘em.

And when they asked her who her musical influences were, she mentions not one bruthah.

She rarely gives props to the black folks who helped her to become the mega star she is today. Keenan Ivory Wayans, Janet Jackson, Sean “Puffy” Combs… It was the bruthas who, so mesmerized by light-skin and big butts, blew her up to seizmic proportions.

Y’all did the same thing with Pink, Paula Abdul, and Kim Kardashian (but at least, Pink can sing…). But the point is that y’all fall for the formula…

Jennifer Lopez, Eva Mendez, Rosario Dawson, Shakira, Christina Aguilera are beautiful brown sistahs (Eva being the most beautiful, in my opinion), but J. Lo is pimpin’ y’all’s ***** with bad singing and egocentric videos, starring… J. Lo. Who else?

She’s a great actress and entertainer. But singer? Not.

And bruthas, before you even try to size me up and discredit my opinions for being a hater… I’m a LSLH sistah with a good man and a good job. And it only took me 2-3 minutes to type this—so I do have a life. This is just a little recreational social commentary.

Good recover J-Lo. When someone can get up like that as if nothing happens, that’s when you know that they belong on stage. Remember when Beyonce fell down those stair during a performance. She hit at least five steps head first. She got right up and kept going. I had new found respect for her. I would have laid there and cried. These two are top-notched performers.

@choco.. it goes by the pounds and mine is 20 lbs so it will take almost all day.. im putting it on early in morning because my guest are coming at 4 pm, its family and they will be on time for food! I made my dressing and i cook it till its brown crispy and hard on the outside, i cant stop eating it and took some dressing for my lunch today!!

@choco~~ Im sorry i meant to tell you the roasting times~~ 1)10 to 18 lbs =roast 3-3 1/2 hrs 2)15 to 22 lbs =roast 4-4 1/2 hrs , anything over 22 lbs roast 5 hrs or more and basting it every 45 minutes!! MIne is 20 pounds so im looking at about 4 1/2 to 5 hrs!!!
