Why after 5 years of marriage and a child does Kelis not deserve child support and alamony? Why is she a gold digger? I think you all have here confused with the h-o-e-s who seek out a man with money just to have his baby. They were together for like 3 years before they got married. If she was a gold digger, why didn’t she just get pregnant then? She could have filed for divorce after 1 year of marriage without having a baby and gotten alamony. She put her ‘career’ on hold to be his wife and have his baby. Why is she being attacked like this? The judge who awarded her the $$$ obviously felt she deserved it. These are two black people . . . in the American justice system. Come on people. No way she gets a dime more than she deserves from some judge who doesn’t even care who either of them are. It’s all in the details we don’t know about. If you can prove infidelity or abuse, the court is likely to side with you. Kelis alleged Nas cheated. Perhaps she had proof. He obviously didn’t have proof against her or things would have come out a lot different. And why would Nas’ son live like a pauper while his father lives like a king? Why would Nas want that?
