The average rap career is roughly 5 to 8 years, if you’re good. 50 Cent has simply lost steam; the numbers indicate that the public is pretty much over him. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. He had a good run…

Rick Ross nor Game is responsible for this. Again, it’s just the natural progression of things. Rappers are only “hot” for a limited time.

Like someone said *****ody buys cd’s anymore because almost everybody has an ipod or some kind of mp3 player.I know I’m done buying cds every album I buy now is from itunes.As for Rick Ross dude you lost the battle when 50 had a sextape of one of your children’s mother and you wasn’t in it and you lost the war when the video surfaced of Floyd and 50 chilling with your son at Floyd’s house. I mean in my opinion unless Ross can come at 50 with a diss record better then Ether or he puts out a great album and it sells like crazy,other then that he is finished.

The truth is: 50 has never been a “good” rapper.
He has sold album becuase of his *****ociation:
Dr. Dre, and Eminem and other better rappers and producers.
What Curtis Jackson is good at is selling this fake “tough, street huster turn rapper” to the little kids and young girls. That is why he always have guns and his shirt off. To compensate for the lack of lyrical skills.
He has never been a good rapper. Period

Grew up in a loving home.
His chose to sell drugs on the street corner at 12 was his dumb choice. No sympathy

Chose to sell drug and is always having some other dude name in his mouth. (As we see on every other rap album, track or you tube video) So when he got shot 9 times. He brought that on himself by the dangerous lifestyle he chose to live. No sympathy

He has “used” hip hop to get rich. Like a small time crack dealer “use” black people in the neighborhood to get paid and destroy the community.

It is time for hip hop to mature and grow past this “gansta” or “thug” rap. How many time can’t we use the same old tired formula. Curtis Jackson..his street name was “boo boo”. Want to be hard so he takes the name of a real street thug “50 Cent”
Take some steriods to pump himself up and sell this image to the young boys and girls.
But the problem is that 50 cent is in his 30’s now so the young crowd sees him as “old enough to be my father” They rather listen to soulja boy becuase he is talking about having fun. 50 is talking about the same old thing, “mucking somebody”, how he is suck a hard “studio gansta”, and how much money he has. We are in a recession, I don’t want to hear a loud mouth negro bragging when I don’t have enough money to feed my kids.
