Tiger Woods Speaks on Accident, Denies Argument with Wife and Adultery Rumors…Plus Accident Pics

Tiger is trying to clean up all of this accident-domestic violence-adultery talk with a quickness:

Tiger Woods is speaking out about the car crash Friday that set off a stream of salacious rumors about his marriage to Elin Nordegren – and allegations that he cheated with a New York club hostess Rachel Uchitel. Speaking about the event, which occurred just feet from the driveway of his Florida home, the golf champion, 33, broke his silence and wrote on his Web site Sunday: “This situation is my fault and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

As for the rumors, including speculation that he and his wife may have had a physical altercation following a report published in the National Enquirer that he had an affair, Woods demurred. “This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way,” he said. “Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.”

He continued: “The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false. “This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.”

Hmmmm…Tiger trying to clean this up, but for real, what in the world could have been going on for him to leave the house at that time of night and ram bust his truck up like that??? SMH.

I understand that this was only a single car ‘car accident’, but you can clearly see the difference between Tiger Woods and another Black athlete…the police will bust through their homes or arrest them in public, drag their a$$es to the station, and keep them there until they straighten the mess out. nevertheless, it looks like this…tiger and old girl got into to a fight and tiger went to leave the house to be with his other non black chick and as he was leaving..his wife went after him with a golf club…and as he jumped into to his ride…chickie went tiger woods on the back window of his truck!!! then poor old tiger crashed his truck into a tree…shame,shame,shame…
cl*****ic case of lies and deceit that lead up to this point of violence…this happens a lot in bad relationships…the great white hope…things ain’t all perfect in the world of a mixed raced couple…you want to know why…they are(the white media) is going to chop down on the situation and basically try to destroy this exceptional individual..even though the brother do not think of his self as black but the white folks does…that happens to a man of color who cuts in on the white folk cash…good luck, tiger and the next time,look out for that tree!!!

Put her in jail. This is such a disgusting double standard. If Tiger was the aggressor, he would already be in jail. Put her in jail. So what if he was/was not having an affair, she could have killed him.

That said, if it’s true that she did physically lash out at Woods, Nordegren shouldn’t be cheered for doing so, just as it would be wrong to cheer a man of color guilty of domestic violence. One of the major drawbacks of stereotyping men and women and people from different ethnic groups is that they often lead to gross double standards.

I pointed out the double standard rears its ugly head in domestic violence issues when the woman is the *****ailant in a similar blog yesterday. Police and society as a whole are much more likely to look the other way when a woman hits a man than when a man hits a woman.

It’s obviously wrong either way, but I think the problem is compounded when men feel embarr*****ed to admit that they are being physically abused by the women in their lives. Of course, I’m just speculating that embarr*****ment of being *****aulted by his wife is one of the reasons Tiger is being tight-lipped about this, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
