well, personally i prefere leona to mariah.
Leona’s more down to earth and doesn’t think she’s better than anyone.
but their both brilliant singers in different ways. And considering Mariah’s still producing class songs after 10 years, you just can’t compare yet. why can’t they just both be good singers and do what they do best. :]

excuse me British/American chic… there is talent in d UK and it is great and there are alot of talent people! dont get it twisted becuz the talent is on a different level (diffent lifestyle) or on a different scale (americaz bigga dan da UK), we diffinately have talent! leonaz dope… people hate on her.. u kno why.. she betta dan them.

she aint no MC… she soundz like MC cuz she admires her.. leona needs to be confident and just try to find her unique style to stop all this comparison..

Killin dem hoes in the UK??? There aren’t many over here that are doing what Leona is. Let’s just say that the talent here isn’t that great and those that are try too hard and that doesn’t work for them either.

Take the time to listen to her before you judge! She hits the same high and low notes as MC. I am a huge MC fan, but we must admit she falls off every now and then…..glitter, um ok! Leona is very talented and doesnt act like the crazy little mixed girl! She has a wonderful cd, she has been writing since 12. Give her time, she may end up larger than MC, after all she’s new to us, the U.S. She’s been killin them hoes in the UK!~!!!!!

Leona has a nice voice but the material she sings is whack. She may need to do like Mariah and get with Lil Wayne and dem cuz her CD was boring and more pop than R&B. But Leona workin that lightskinned/greeneyed thang though. I can see she got a nice nose job too.

Mimi better watch out – at least Leona is actually singing. Back in the day when she actually sang (Vision of Love) she was untouchable. Now, its just a few rifts of heavy breathing and everything sounds the same. And as for the Hello Kitty fixation and behaving like she’s still 12 – its just annoying. As far as Leona’s looks is it just me or does she look like a tranny?

I watched the X-Factor show here in London that Leona won and trust me, she was the best there was. I think that MC is someone that she looks up to and therefore mimics some of her style and maybe that’s where the comparison comes from. Her song Bleeding Love grew on me as do a lot of songs that come out. I wouldn’t call her corny at all and she can definitely sing, she just needs to find her own style. As for her being boring, she’s only just come out and she’s extremely shy. She’s a local girl that we used to see all the time that isn’t used to all of the attention that she is now receiving. In the beginning MC was quite boring as well and stage presence (in some) comes with time and experience. Give her a break and stop slating her before she has time to grow.

The next Mariah? When Mariah first came out with “Vision of Love” she didn’t get all the attention just based on how she looked and who she reminded people of, it was based on pure talent and the fact that she could sing like a pro. “Bleeding Love” is a horrible song to me and I don’t even understand why people like it. It is so corny. Her vocals get a C-. Mariah annoys me with the whisper singing thing she does, but we all know she slays Leona vocally any day. If Mariah had any sense she would not care about this b*tch and just sit back and count her stacks. Plus remember all the records she broke and the fact that she has a successful album out now. Anyway…what’s up Beyonce!
