Stevie Wonder and John Legend performed “The Way You Make Me Feel” during the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 25TH Anniversary. Everything was going good until Stevie got caught up with emotion and started sobbing uncontrollably.  Pop the top to see the video.

Watch from the 1:37 mark in the video. LMAO this isn’t funny but it is.

  • o BOI

    First!

  • Wouldn’t you like to know

    …………………………

  • dayg715

i love Michael, always will, but enough with the MJ tributes already. Janet’s should have been the last one. let the man rest in peace now.

  • Hannibal

WACKO JACKO’S BEEN DEAD, MOVE ON STEVIE, AT LEAST ALL THE LITTLE KIDS ARE SAFE!

  • Mason2Fast

    dayg715,

I understand what you’re saying but all in all its still someones life and some people arent as numb as others, not to mention they more of a personal relationship and were family…..Thats the mans cousin.

  • GotYou

These are people who personally knew Michael. Michael Jackson was the greatest entertainer not only of their lifetime in their own opinions but in the opinions of normal people as well. The tributes generally stop after the biggest ceremony for the genre of art that the artist was mainly apart of. Meaning that the Grammy will more than likely cap the end of Michael Jackson tributes.

  • waka waka

PLEASE!!! he forgot the damn lyrics..tried to play it off..terrible

  • TyNice

MJ…..GREATEST ENTERTAINER OF ALL TIME. RESPECT WELL DESERVED, I FEEL U STEVIE!!! THE GOVERNMENT HATES TO SEE A BLACK MAN WITH THE POWER MIKE HAD. THEY KILLED HIM……

  • Junk

Actually, Stevie has had a very tough year. His own mother passed away recently and now, he’s lost someone he’s known as a friend for decades. Soooo, I’m not sure why people are being so condescending about this. Loss hurts. People cry.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Pazjon-Carter/561149401 Hey Hey

Just because some of you aren’t affected by MJ’s death doesn’t mean that everyone else should feel the same way. I am sick of these heartless Mf’s still talking mess about the man -even in death. When someone you love dies and 6 months later you still have a hard time coping you’ll understand. This world is all f’d up and ya wonder why… Try to understand someone other than yourselves sometimes and you just might get some consideration.

  • BIG SEXI

Seems like he just forgot the words and was trying to play it off like he was overcome with emotions..smh

  • Hannibal

LMAO! DUDE FORGOT THE WORDS! HORRIBLE TRIBUTE!

RIP, Mike. We miss you, baby!

  • EleKtrik EccEntriK (RIP Shaniyah Davis, Innocence Lost)

um, not all blind people can produce tears. silly rabbits.
yea, he did flub up some of the words, but to fake an emotional moment just seems ridiculous.

  • JustLove

    @ SASHAY
lol i agree, John legend just sitting there playing the keyboard like nothing happened. He could have helped him out a lil

  • spastic

Whats so funny about that??? Americans have such bad humour.

  • kaneesia

    thats not funny….thats emotions boy!!!!

  • Please

Man some of you all need to lighten up. Stevie told you all at MJ’s funeral he had hoped he never live to see Michael Jackson dead.

Stevie has been friends and helping Michael since Mike was a lil boy and probably looked at him as a son figure. Give the man a break.

  • Candy Cane

I’m sorry, I did laugh a little bit.
    ….. so did John Legend!

  • memphodude

For those of you that didn’t know, that’s Stevie’s daughter in the center with the background singers. That’s the one he wrote “Isn’t She Lovely” for.

  • mOokie

trey3 you are real deep. can i get yo number on my celliophone!

  • Really Bossip? Really?

I don’t think that I have ever commented on this site, but I sent a message along the lines of what Trey3 had to say. Mine was prompted by the rampant homophobia and ever present “swirl” commentary.

This really wasn’t funny. At all. And as someone stated previously, Stevie is a musical genius who could have done some adlibs if he forgot the words.

Oh and who in the hell doesn’t know the hook to The Way You Make Me Feel??

    GTFOH!!!

RIP MJJ – GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!

  • mj is king,so invincible

    LUV YOU STEVIE
    LOVE ALWAYS MICHAEL JEOSEPH JACKSON.RIP

  • http://msn mzdiva

and it has come out that michael never molested the boy
michael got taken for his $$$$$$$$$$
so @ hannibal know ur facts
    steeple head

  • Nova

    Amen @ Trey3.

This site and the people who run it are ignorant, and we’re just as ignorant to keep visiting and posting comments. No way an intelligent African-American would post 1/3 of the disrespectful items that grace this site.

  • memchee

    …..very moving tribute.

I think er’one close to MJ will be hurting for a long time just thinking of what he was going thru and never being given the oppourtunity to help him.

He was way too young to have died in the manner that he did and way too good of a person to been take advantage of …..

  • Cody-Cole

How come John Legend didn’t just pick it up when he got choked up? As another singer and musician, I would think that would be the most natural thing to do. He just sat there like an amatuer like he didn’t know what in the hell to do. Be a professional!!!

  • Soul Ese

nothing funny about this…. RIP MJ and thank you Stevie for all the great music you have given us.

  • Sophie

Damn John, you could have helped with the lyrics..
I haven’t forgotten he stole the song Stormy, f’n hack!

  • kelly

Hannibal your a old douche bag! Get some new stuff to say, that crap your farting is old and stupid!

  • joker

nothing funny there, but the question is do tears comeout on blind people? do they cry tears?

  • Laila046

I didn’t think it was funny. I can’t imagine how hard that was for him.

  • Joseph Blowseph

whether you think MJ is a freak or a god, denying his impact on the music of our time is asinine. There were tributes to Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Jimmy Hendrix and others. All were understated and fitting, as was Little Stevie’s tribute to MJ.

I’m the “MJ is a freak” (and pedofile) camp, but can separate that from his music and his one of a kind talent that put him on top of the music industry for so many years. In the 4+ hours of the HBO event there was only one reference to him. Not mentioning such a giant who’d died this last year would seem inappropriate to me. I was touched by Little Stevie’s breakdown when he was paying tribute to his friend.

I feel for the people who don’t feel heartened by SW’s emotion and have little to do besides make themselves feel bigger by making anonymous posts that belittle the feelings of others.

Hannibal is a jackass. The father of the kid in question was in the middle of a custody battle. Asked Michael for $75k to buy a script. When Michael refused to buy hid dumb as script they went forward with the lawsuite. The dad comitted suicide and the son has confessed that it was all a lie! Get it right boo boo!

  • kingsley

um I understand all the empathy and respect but I could not understand a word stevie was saying… But he felt and miss micheal… So I understand but I did chuckle…

  • kingsley

Also, can someone please cut that damn DONUT beard around Stevie Wonders mouth.. I have seen that for 20 years.. His camp should just tell him that is not attractive… no disresoect but come on.. If I was blind I would want ot look fly as hell…

  • Natalie

This is touching. Stevie knew Michael in the purest form as a person. He never saw truly what Michael did to himself physically so I believe thier friendship was based on love and a mutual respect. Stevie allowed Michael to sit in while he was recording Songs in the Key of Life and served as a mentor to MJ. It’s so sad how jaded this society has become to think that this is something that is funny :-<

  • impriss00

i agree not funny at all!!

  • piccolo

@ Its More to Being a Grown Up Than Just Being Over 21:

Thank you. That was very well said.

  • seriously

I swear, there are some evil, heartless people in this world. This world is so distorted. Why is it that the world always badmouth people, who were actually trying to make the world a better place. I guarantee you, the people who talk bad about M.J the most, they are the child molesters, if not murderers, and they need to be thrown in jail.

There’s nothing funny about this. I understand there are some heartless people out there, but there are also people who are still grieving about M.J death. So what? even if stevie forgot the lyrics, he shouldn’t be laughed at. Stevie is a talented musician, and a friend of M.J, so of course probably singing one of M.J songs will be emotional for him. Only fools will laugh at something like this.

I don’t get emotional easily or attached to musicians, but M.J death, has affected me so much. I feel like someone close to me passed away. I just find myself tearing up sometimes. I’ve never felt like this about anyone, outside my family. What keeps getting me, the world was so much against him, and refused to appreciate what they had. What makes M.J stand out as an artist, entertainer, was just the heart, connection, he puts in his music. I personally will not compare M.J. to any other artist, dead or alive, because he’s very unique, original, and his talent is just out of this world. It actually gets on my nerves when i hear people compare his talent to that of Elvis Presley, or others, because in my book, M.J is the greatest entertainer, musician, in the world, it’s nothing compare to.

With that, he had the greatest humanitarian work. It wasn’t just about the money, he deeply cared for the people, especially children. He really wanted the world to be a better place. People just don’t get it, just bcos of their own perversion, they think everyone thinks like them. There are still some few people out there who genuinely love children, and will not harm them, and M.J was one of those people.

There will never be enough tributes to M.J, bcos his death was unexpected, and M.J will never be forgotten through his music.

  • jessmadam

    Shut up idiot

  • jessmadam

Stevie did a great job and you can tell he is cut up about Michaels death like all his fans still are. He knew Michael from a child and knew what he had been put through even comments he made at MJs memorial showed how he felt.

  • Jomm

Sad that there are a few idoits on this board who make to make light of stevie tearing up. To the idoits who are making fun, if someone you love die and someone makes fun of you, do not get upset. You are only getting back what you put out. God is sitting high and judging us all. MJ was STILL a person who just had a job in entertainment field.

  • Jomm

So true. But hey, we live in society with no respect for no one any more.
