Obama - halt

The final primaries in South Dakota and Minnesota are going down tonight. Hillary is hanging on by a shred of a thread. This wheffah actually has the nerve to put out these demands for leaving the race:

“The first is that Obama will assist the Clintons in raising money to pay off the campaign’s multi-million dollar debt.

‘It’s not about the vice-presidency or any other position she might get. It’s about the money – in particular the Clinton family money,’ a source close to a Clinton donor [said].

Hillary is also reportedly requesting that the Illinois senator help Black officials who endorsed Clinton and are now suffering backlash in their constituency.”

This chick is going down swinging. Regardless – Barack is expected to win enough delegates to secure the Democratic nomination. As if there was any doubt……..

    I’m still scared this shiesty b#tch has something up her sleeve…

    I’ve damn near lost ALL of my respect for her now…

    If the “tables were turned” do you think she would of:

    (1) wanted to count Florida & Michigan (*if Obama had of won those states)

    (2) help Obama take care of his campaign debt

    Yeah, right… Get the f#ck outta here with that bulls#it…

  • EZRawlins

    I wouldn’t put her (or a loser like Joe L.) on an Obama ticket. If he adds Clinton then he may as well gt his will together, ’cause the Clintons WILL find a way to kill him (just look at the number of mysterious deaths surrounding Bill’s presidency). And if Obama lines up another loser like Lieberman, then his presidential campaign will be in even more trouble than it already is. Hopes he selects Edwards and tells the Clintons ‘Handle yours!’

  • Rainbow Brite

    I don’t think he will chose her as VP. I think it would be wise to chose someone like her, in characteristics, another white woman, perhaps. Many are suggesting Kansas Governor Karen Sebelius.

  • Cher

    Pay back debt? LOL!!! He needs me to serve her a public announcement. “Hil. You knew you couldn’t afford to run. Looks like you need to find a job or file bankrupt.”

Is this the same source that claime Angelina’s twins were born (when she’s still pregnant). I like Barack, and stand by him 100%, but that is the dumbest ish I’ve heard all week. Until I hear her say it, I choose not to believe it.

  • Sydney

    It looks like it’s over!!

    Officials say Hillary Rodham Clinton will acknowledge Tuesday night Barack Obama has the delegates for the Democratic presidential nomination, the Associated Press reports.

  • Sydney

    *doing jubilation dance*

  • Sydney

    More on Clinton from the AP:

    Most campaign staff will be let go and will be paid through June 15, said the officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to divulge her plans.

    The advisers said Clinton has made a strategic decision to not formally end her campaign, giving her leverage to negotiate with Obama on various matters including a possible vice presidential nomination for her. She also wants to press him on issues he should focus on in the fall, such as health care.

  • Sydney

    I hope she doesn’t pressure him into giving her the VP slot. Go away, Hills!

  • Barack’s Penis

    Now, now Sydney. There’s no need to be so territorial. There’s enough of me for you and Hillary…Afterall, i’m going to be the “PEOPLE’S PRESIDENT”…And when all is said and done, i think it will be advantageous to have Hillary and Bill’s knowledge and savvy to assist me in navigating the treacherous landfill of politics that lays before me.

  • Lola Am

    Is that you Sydney??? *waving* (if so)

  • NotoriousOne

    These “demands” sound kinda skeptical. Chances are Hillary is gonna offset a lot of, if not all of, her debt w/ her campaign funds from her Senate seat in the NY. Even w/ her loss she has established herself as a powerbroker in the Democratic party and will have NO problems raising funds. Especially when she takes a step back and lets Obama do his thing.

    OBAMA ’08 & ‘12

    YES WE CAN!!

    YES WE WILL!!

  • VB

    the black ppl who supported hillary should not be hated for having and exercising their political opinion.why should they vote for obama just cos he is black?that woukld be rasict.white ppl voted for obama but u dont see white folks calling them sellouts?bob johnson and them were entitled to their opinions.

    hillary clinton woukd always have my respect cos she was a fighter and never took a loss sittng down.she fought to the last battle was won and gave it her best shot like she should.

    i cant hate a woman who gave it her all and failed.ppl just got swept up in obama mania but we woukld see how he fares in the real test.the general election against the visious repuplicans.

  • VB

    i hope she gets the vp slot.

  • Marlboro Candy

    @ Sydney

    Cam she really demand his assistance in paying off her multi million dollar debt? Why is that his problem? She wants him to help the black sellouts who are experiencing backlash in the blk community? Are u serious? Again why is that his problem?

    I dont think I will vote for Barack if he takes Clinton on as VP. What about u?

  • Sydney

    I can’t stand this woman — now her camp is disputing the AP report. This is so frustrating!! It doesn’t matter whether she wants to concede or not, after today’s S.D. and Montana primaries and the superdelegate support he’s expected to gain, he will have the total he needs to be the nominee.

    From CNN:

    Hillary Clinton is “absolutely” not prepared to admit Barack Obama has beaten her in the race for the Democratic nomination for president, Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe told CNN Tuesday.

    The comments came minutes after the Associated Press reported Clinton is preparing to concede the delegate race Tuesday night as the five-month Democratic primary process comes to a close.

  • http://www.gravatar.com Re

    @Sydney, nevermind, her camp is denying reports that this is true.

  • http://www.gravatar.com Re

    Why is she so hard-headed? I don’t understand…On Sunday, he needed 45.5 delegates to become official. Hillary needed 275! When is it time to bow out gracefully? Huckabee swore he would go to the end, and he was able to face the realities of the game.

    This is politics, not the Class President campaign.

  • Sydney

    @Lola

    Hey, girl!! Can you believe all this flip-flopping?!?

    @Marlboro Candy

    I’m not sure what kind of “exit” package Clinton is negotiating, but she has made it clear to me that she’s leaving on her own terms, which may mean Obama working to raise funds to cover her debt. From my understanding, if this goes through, the money wouldn’t come from his campaign, but he could hold fundraisers to pay off her expenses. As for the VP slot, I don’t know what’s going to happen. She may demand that she’s on the ticket.

    @Re

    This is like that Reese Witherspoon movie “Election.” She just refuses to leave — it’s like she’s obsessed, and someone is going to have to push her through the door. I can think of thousands of people who would love to have that job. Hit the road, Hills — you can’t catch up.

    Now she may try to take this to the Dems convention in August and appeal to the uncommitted superdelegates, which is my fear. If that happens, it could cause mass chaos. All of this is hurting the Democrats immensely. We need to focus on November!

  • Marlboro Candy

    @ Sydney

    How is that even possible? Who the hell is this lady really? She lost and is in debt b/c she DECIDED to stay in and campaign. Everyone else dropped out when the saw the signs but she refused now Barack must agree to help her out??? I can’t see how anyone from his camp would agree to those terms. If Barack says no to the fundraising request will she continue to stay in the race. I dont get this! But if she’s his VP I won’t vote for him!!

  • Lola Am

    @ Sydney and Re

    Well, the superdelegates are rolling in today!!! I’m sure more will be announced as the day goes. Barack only needs 37 delegates!

  • NotoriousOne

    @ VB…

    Did these black “leaders” in fact exercise their political opinion or did they sell their support for greater personal gain? I think therein lies the issue that a lot of people might have. That blacks have fought and died for an opportunity to be in the position Obama is in now and for blacks not to support him is akin to betrayal.

    And Hillary might have worked hard but a lot of times she worked dirty and underhanded. She became desperate and resorted to some very malicious tactics.

  • Lola Am

    @ Sydney and Yep I Sait It

    It is against the law to use the money donated to his campaign to pay Hillary’s debts. Sydney, you are correct, he can hold fundraiser in her honor to help pay her debts.

    She still owes IU thousands of dollars from when she campaigned here. It made the news here in Indy, and her camp finally sent in partial payment b/c you know people was pissed that she still owed a school!

  • http://www.gravatar.com Re

    @Lola Am and Sydney

    I really do fear those uncommitted delegates as well. McCain is already moving forward in his campaign, and we’re still here in circles. Because she felt Puerto Ricans who don’t count towards the general election are a good sign for her campaing. Give me a break.

  • Lola Am

    @ Re

    I think most SDs are choosing Barack, as they want to end this mess as well.

    I agree about the Puerto Rico mess as well. She’ll try to use anything

  • http://www.gravatar.com Re

    campaign* spell check

  • Sydney

    @Lola

    Yes, girl, Obama’s going to have enough delegates soon to clinch the nomination, whether Hills wants to concede or not, right?

    @Marlboro Candy

    If I’ve read information online correctly, if Obama assists Clinton with her debt, he would only assist her with fundraising, such as holding fundraiser events on her behalf. He would not donate money from his campaign. If I’m wrong, someone please correct me.

    Now going back to my concerns about the upcoming Denver convention, I just came across this tidbit in a NY Times story: “If Mrs. Clinton pulls out a victory in South Dakota, it could very well give her the impetus — and the ammunition — to make the case to superdelegates that Mr. Obama is an anemic general-election candidate and that the party should turn to her. That result could make her delay an exit even longer.”

  • Sydney

    Thanks for the fundraising clarification, Lola!

  • Lola Am

    @ Syndey

    Since more SDs are endorsing him today and considering he’s slated to win both primaries tonight, I think he will have enough delegates!

    So far 3 SDs have endorsed him this morning and now he only needs 37 delegates!

  • Moreaces

    Hill’s thug game is tight, lol

  • Lola Am

    According to CNN, a lot of the uncommitted SDs are waiting until after the primaries tonight to announce their endorsements, but most are for Obama!

  • Sydney

    @Lola

    Thanks girl, but here’s where I’m confused — even if Obama has enough delegates, can she still protest his noomination at the convention before the superdelegates? I think this woman has lost her mind and will try anything, that’s why I ask.

  • Marlboro Candy

    @ Sydney

    Its still crazy. Whether he has to donate money or have fundraisers for her benefit. It seems really crazy for her to make that type of demand when it was her choice to stay in.

  • Sydney

    *nomination*

    @Marlboro Candy

    Yes, in light of everything that has occurred during this campaign, I think this is an audacious request, but I think she has that right, and we’ve already seen what she’s capable of demanding (i.e. seating the Fla. and Mich. delegates).

  • Lola Am

    More SDs!!!

    34.5 to go!

  • NotoriousOne

    At the end of the day Hillary will repay her debt, more than likely through fundraisers from her Senate seat in the NY.

    Furthermore, Obama will heed her request for major attention to the health care issue. I suspect with the promise of appointing a Chairperson for the position… a person that has Clinton’s blessings, in exchange for her support in the general election.

  • Sydney

    @Lola

    That’s great news! I have a meeting coming up, so I’m going to have to check in later, but it was good to talk with you again, chica!

  • Sydney

    Before I leave, Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), House majority whip, has officially endorsed Obama. Here’s what he said today:

    “I think that by 6 o’clock this evening there will be enough so-called super delegates endorsing that the 15 or so delegates we expect Senator Obama to get from Montana and South Dakota will allow him to say in Minnesota tonight that he is there,” said Mr. Clyburn.

  • Lola Am

    @ Sydney

    I read somewhere that she was going to try to persuade SDs to change over to her because she was the better candidate. So, I guess the answer to your question might be, yes. I’m sure Dem leaders will convince her this is not good for the party, however (I hope anyway).

  • http://www.ishooze.com nadoop

    Hillary Clinton is not over. She and her husband are power hungry criminals who will continue to fight one way or another. What I suspect is that she’s going to try and beg him for the VP slot, and if he concedes, she will have him murdered within 6 months or so, and she’ll take the presidency. Obama should not let this woman boss him around like this. But I understand how he must keep a cool head, being that he’s black, and black people can’t complain in this country without being labeled as whiny babies who can’t get over slavery.

  • Lola Am

    @ Sydney

    Yeah, I need to do some work too! Talk to ya soon!

  • http://www.ishooze.com nadoop

    Hillary couldn’t cash from her PRESIDENTIAL campaign, so what makes you guys think she’s gonna get cash from her senate seat? Frankly, I’m hoping she loses her senate seat so that this Clinton Reign can end, PRONTO. The criminal branch in government must die out, pronto!

  • NotoriousOne

    @ nadoop…

    It wasn’t that she couldn’t raise funds for her presidential campaign, it was that she couldn’t keep up w/ Obama and his spending. She still has a sizeable amount of money in her Senate treasury and her strong showing in the primary will make her a major power broker in the DNC. Which will translate into $$$$. I suspect she will stick around to see how Obama does in his first term as POTUS.

  • Lou in the Chi

    How are the Clinton’s criminals? Are you from New York? If not how the hell does her senate seat affect you?

  • Sydney

    AP tally: Obama effectively clinches nomination 20 minutes ago

    Barack Obama has effectively clinched the Democratic presidential nomination, based on an Associated Press tally of convention delegates.

    The tally put Obama over the top Tuesday, ahead of the results from the day’s final primaries in Montana and South Dakota. The Illinois senator becomes the first black candidate ever to lead his party into a fall campaign for the White House. Obama outlasted former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton in a historic contest and now faces Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona for the presidency.

  • STEFANY

    OBAMA SHOULD HELP HILLIARY ONLY IF SHE AGREES TO BE HIS VICE, AND THAT WAY SHE MAY HAVE A CHANCE TO REDEEM HERSELF, MAKE A LITTLE MONEY AND STILL HELP THE NEGROS WHO WERE RIDDING HER COAT TAIL.

  • MakeAChange

    Too much negativety with Hillary. Picking her for Vice would defintely be a disaster for the Democratic Party. She needs to just concentrate on helping Obama get the Republicans out of office. They have done enough damage to carry the American people into the next 200 yrs. If you are unhappy with the directions this Country is in & going, then VOTE & get those greedy, selfish, uncaring,incompetent, I could go on & on, but just do the majority of Americans, regardless of age, race, color, ethnic background, education, income, social status, economic status a favor & VOTE FOR CHANGE, VOTE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW.

  • http://natashassecret.blogspot.com Malaika

    Will some of you STOP with the nonsense about white america “NOT LETTING” Obama be the black man!?

    Obviously white america has helped Obama win this nomination. Just because there are still crazy, racist white people out there doesn’t mean WE can allow THEM to have any power.

    Black people will finally rise up again when we realize we don’t HAVE TO ALLOW white people to take away our power. They may have ruled the world (and destroyed it) but that is slowly shifting. Asians are taking over, and Africans will soon follow.
