A registered sex offender accused of killing 11 women and leaving their remains in and around his Cleveland home has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to all charges.

Fifty-year-old Anthony Sowell (so-WEHL’) was arraigned Thursday by video hook-up from jail. Sowell was indicted Tuesday on 85 charges, including murder, rape, assault and corpse abuse. He is accused of murdering 11 women and could get the death penalty if convicted of any of the killings.

Ten bodies and a skull were found at his Cleveland home. On Wednesday, FBI agents with cadaver dogs searched another house where Sowell lived before going to prison for 15 years for a 1989 attempted rape. No bodies were found. A prosecutor asked for bond in the amount of $14 million, but the judge ordered Sowell held without bond.

    What is even more crazy is that the prosecutor asked for bail at $14 milli…if this guy has killed 11 people, that we know of thus far, why give him a chance to get out and do more “insane” killings? Glad the judge denied it!!!

    But, this is obviously some kind of psychopath.
    A mentally well person wouldn’t have commited these heinous crimes.
    He should be convicted but placed in psychiatric prison for the rest of his life, this man isn’t dealing with full deck.

    There’s no doubt about it,this negro is out of his mind, but his azz is guilty, i cant believe that his public defender would even take that route, bc a trial is going to be waste of time and money, just convict him, all the evidence is there,(though everyone has the right to a fair trial) personally i think he should rot in jail and be torture everyday until he dies
