Well, they could have moved him up to the business class section where they have bigger seats for this one occasion, instead of allowing him to fill up the seat and the aisle. That is embarrassing. I wouldn’t know how to address someone that big sitting next to me. Geez!!!

Come on, now. I mean, maybe he can’t help his size but he d@mn sure knows about it! If it were me, I’d OFFER to pay for an extra seat for my own comfort, safety AND to avoid embarassment.

I was recently in 1st class when shorly before the door shut this church group boarded. One was so big that the attendant told her to just sit in 1st class. The others were average size but kept demanding to sit in some open seats in 1st class out of shear jealousy. The attendants kept telling them no. I could see the look on the fat lady’s face. She was hoping they would chill before the flight attendant just yelled out, “Look, I put your fat azz friend in 1st class cause she can’t fit a coach seat.” Instead of understanding, the other big hat wearing church ladies were too busy hating.

Nonsense. Why are Americans so dang fat?

Common sense he cant be blocking the isle. He is a safety hazard if something goes down and you need to get to an exit hell block everyone thats behind him. They should sit people like him away from the emergency exits or at the safety exits so they wont slow people down. Common sense but everyone is probably too scared or dont want to embarrass him. I would just try to sit in a seat in front of him so I wont be in danger.

The dude sitting next to him is looking like, “WTF?” That’s too much to be spilling out into the aisle like that. But something about that pic doesn’t sit right. Not 100% sure it’s real. I’ve seen smaller people than him have to pay for two seats. That is a safety hazard for sure right there.

i feel sorry for the man next to him. and i feel sorry for him. you can never tell someone’s situation. we can only guess why he is fat and why he hasn’t paid for two seats.

they should have a special seat for big and tall people im 6’6 when i asked to sit by the emergency door of the plane because they have a little more leg room the FED told me i was under investigation. go figure.

I’m pretty sure that’s shopped. It doesn’t look right. And if it’s not, I dont’ blame him for being fat because he’s as tall sitting down as most people would be standing up. Proportionately he’s not that fat- just a big individual… unbelievably large… which again makes me think it’s Photoshopped.

The airlines need to think about having some seats that are extra wide, extra large, something. They know there are some big people in the world. They need to be accomodated just like the handicap. Sidenote …… that’s a big azz man.

That has to be an altered photo, it would be against FAA regulations for the plane to even take off with him sitting on the seat like that. He is required to purchase to seats if he can’t fit into one. He would however be reimbursed for the second seat if the flight didn’t sell out.

I feel that Airlines should have custom made seats for over-sized people because they are just like us just over weight. and its not fare for only mid size to small size people get a chance on the airplane. Save the embarassment and build a plain with a couple of Big seats even though it might cost the person extra $. its only fare.

Of course he should have been able to fly! They should have given him two seats because CLEARLY he physically needed them. This guy is no different than someone with a disability. It is ILLEGAL to not accommodate people with disabilities. I see empty seats, so they could have moved the middle guy to another seat.

I’m sorry, but this is funny. I refuse to believe that that weight is put on without a lot of food, so I can laugh because , in my opinion, he chose to be that big. And if I was on that flight and he came to sit beside me. Jesus Take the Wheel, because I would go off on that flight attendant. It’s funny how the row behind him is empty. Those people were probably move to first class for health and safety concerns. He’s probably in the middle of the plane to keep if it from leaning to much in the front or back. He’s keeping the plane balanced, but they are spending more gas with him traveling.

I agree that he is a human, but I think he should rent a pick up truck to travel. They have some nice ones with comfortable bench seats.

First of all….the seat behind him as TWO empty seats right next to each other. Why didn’t the airline place the over weight guy in those seats? Perhaps the airlines should have one or two double capacity seats that they charge 50% or so more for?

well i just think its sad when people get this big . I mean come on thats really big I think they should just make him pay a little more for another seat so they can make sure he’s comfortable along with everyone else who paid there money.

I hate sitting next to fat people on crowded planes and buses. They spill out to my seat and we’re forced to sit there touching. Its just gross. The airlines need to ask them to purchase two seats or get off.

The picture isn’t cropped it was on the news yesterday. An airline hostess took the shot, and if the find out which one did it, she’s going to be in lots of trouble. But this pic is funny as hell. I would have asked the hostess to find me another seat because I would NOT want to sit next to him.
